  1. I agree. You also want the reflective side to be on the lee. Ideally, the tarp breaks the wind from the NW, and the shiny side warms you on the S. Nice job, Clampet.
  2. I watched a guy replace my door spring, and even after that, I still won't do it myself. Send a man.
  3. That was funny right there, joey. God Bless.
  4. AttaBoy, Emil. Very nice shooting, it looks like everything came together for you guys. I would think that the heavy trudging would not be the most worstest of your worries, you can slow down and it's only time and stamina. The wind and temps, -18C and 12- 15 knots (30 Km/hr) o' fresh NW breeze, are another issue. That's a -30C (-22 F) windchill thingamajigger, walking out and sitting out on the open lake. That is brisk fer sure. Congratulations on a great day, you guys earned that one. That was hardcore.
  5. I'm dry on this one, boss.
  6. Cute, but a ragtop? I'm not sure about that.
  7. Congratulations to you both, Joanne and Paul. WTG as they say.
  8. 'K, Swmbo is checked out. Well?
  9. Will check out the T and V situation with SWMBO, then brb. Does anyone really understand what I'm saying? I wonder, I wah-wah-wah-wah-wonder.
  10. Those are some of the finer looking lake trout I've seen. Thanks for the great photos.
  11. Great report, Disco Phish. I don't know which I like better, your photos or your handles. H2WHOA! is funny right there.
  12. Please, anyone else who is thinking about surgery for RSI, or who has had surgery for RSI that they aren't fully happy with, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! Geeeze. I've had non surgical treatment that has a 90% success rate for carpal tunnel.
  13. Nice McGyverin' there, Terry, you ol' bricoleur, you.
  14. Arizona's Website, and a map. . This is the rest of the info: Arizona B-Bar & Grill 215 Carlingview Drive Etobicoke Tel: (416) 674-7772] They are located about 2 km from the International Centre, south and east along Airport Road, and then right at Carlingview Drive. 100 m on the lhs.
  15. I prefer this to the stuff that GCD and jjcanoe were talking about. I can put on stuff to stay warm, but that oppressive heat and humidity is just miserable, no escape. In lovely suburban Etobicoke right now, it's a brisk -15C / -5F tonight. Goretex, fleece, toques, gloves, mittens, balaclavas, fur and even the zipper were invented right here in the Great White North. Get out there and get some fresh air, for Heaven's sake. Breathing with your head in a bucket of mud---that's funny right there.
  16. I have it on good authority that there will be a swill at Arizona after the show closes. This is where we met last year, a handy place to the Show location, and close to the highways. The place is very large with lots o room for us until the locals arrive around 10. Arizona is also known for its very talented staff. There is no need for reservations at 6 on Saturday eve, but it would be a good idea to let others know if you want to stop by. Last year there were about 25, including dignitaries up the wazoo. I doubt that they will grace us with their presence this year, but I think that will be an improvement, pompous !@#$%%$. Good wings and nachos, mebbe a draft by accident, wonderful service. Even Greencoachdog has been there. See you around 6 pm in on the 17th.
  17. OK. All you need is a little patience, Richard. You will pretty likely figger it out shortly, but not if you are watching the T and the V. Just remember that resorting to dynamite is failure.
  18. Bly, you can get the information you need at the Quinte board, @ http://www.quintefishing.com/.
  19. The offset handle is definitely the way to go. Nice gear.
  20. OK. Gloves, a torch, pliers, rubbing alcohol or gas line antifreeze. What the heck, have your wd40 handy too. Don't burn yourself, now.
