  1. Well thats just great, now I need to buy another rod!
  2. Three baits have been producing this fall, 1. Spinner baits for searching active fish 2. Football jigs for getting deep 3. YUM Dinger for slow shallow bass.
  3. Hey FinS, as far as I know there are not 2 piece Tackle Industries rods (just checked the site, didnt see any). I am a huge fan of my TI rod though, casts big lures with ease! If you are in the TO area, you can come take a look at it, though I have no interest in selling mine. Thanks for the link TS!
  4. Great report, beautiful photos!

    Gloves

I've been using Glacier Gloves and I love em. They look like the BPS gloves listed earlier. I have the pair with the thumb and Index finger cut outs, so they are of course NOT waterproof.
  6. great stuff as usual man!
  7. 58 Degrees in the areas I was fishing, picked up one musky while fishing for bass. 33 inch fish in about 6 feet of water. I was using a 7 inch YUM Dinger and letting it slowly sink to the bottom. Spent several hours trolling big baits with no luck!
  8. Good stuff man! I was just fishing with HD yesterday!
  9. Awesome bass man! You need some hockey tape on that thumb!
  10. I was just wondering if you were gonna be at LV this fall! I've been trying to convince Jon we should go next spring!
  11. Beautiful shots man!
  12. Didn't watch the video yet (blocked from work) but awesome fish, especially from shore! I've managed to catch a few from shore, but never anythign close to 50! (from a boat either!)
  13. Ivey Park is the place to be IMO. I lived in London 6 years ago and caught pike, walleye, white bass, smallmouth, rockbass, catfish and loads of carp just down stream from the Riverside Drive bridge. There is a nice pool there (). Bring corn for carp if you are getting bass or pike! This pic should give you a good idea where to fish, if this was a current photo you would see the fountain in the background! The carp dont get huge in this area (rarely over 15 pounds) but they are still a blast to catch! This one is in the same spot as the pike, just a different angle.
  14. I've got several baitcasters and for a starter real I think the Diawa Megaforce series is top notch! They will be under $100 at BPS. I'm a huge Shimano and Quantum fan but the Megaforce is by far the easiest and most forgiving real I own. I've taught several of my friends (who aren't regular fishermen)to use them in about an hour with minimal backlash. That being said, the Megaforce died this summer after 4 years of pretty serious use. I was casting some fairly big lures with it that I really shouldnt have though...plastic gears dont like heavy lures. Replaced with a Shimano Caius which is also solid for a reel under $100. If you can spend an extra $50 or so you will get a much better reel.
  15. You sure can! Keep away from boats and marinas though! Dont forget the net, some of the walls are pretty high!
  16. There is no way to eliminate the fish eye effect on the stock camera (it happens at any resolution,), its actually a big selling feature for some people! There are some things that can be done later on computer, but I'm not sure it would help a whole lot with this image since the fish is in motion, it will be a bit out of focus either way.
  17. You cant ask for a weekend much better than that! Awesome stuff! I've been planning to add a few of those Handlebarz to my lure collection, guess I better do it soon!
  18. No problem!
  19. Just awesome! Looks like an incredible trip!
