Typically. More likely to catch a salmon in early am Before 8am In the afternoon most captains run out to the blue zone. Mostly rainbows there but more likely to catch a fish than get skunked in close. I prefer to stop and enjoy the fish fight. The charter guys keep going because they have too many lines out to stop. Then fish are torpedoed into the water with hopes they revive themselves. I guess most do. Nothing like hand reviving a good fish next to a stopped small boat. My opinion.

To be honest, don't usually learn too much from the fish tank seminars. But Mike opened my eyes to slowing down my presentations casting crank baits. Was uncanny how those bass didn't even look at a typical retrieve. Yet when he slowed way down and either let the lure suspend, or better yet sink and then sit on the bottom, they were all over it. Was down in PV in November. Lots of smaller boats to take you out for a 4 hr troll. $200 I believe for the boat. Didn't go out myself but people brought in a few 7-10 lb Jacks. Not sure if there are casting opportunities from the boats. Couple guys fished from shore. Caught small stuff
