  1. I would talk to a Patent Lawyer if you really mean business
  2. Some nice stuff on that site Art. Not cheap. There are a ton of telescopic rods on Amazon for under $30 but likely junk. Thanks Guys
  3. Special occasions only. Order live lobsters from the east coast. 2-3 1.5 pounders each. pretty reasonable these days Lots of garlic butter
  4. any kind of warranty with it?
  5. Nobody have an opinion on a heavier rod to pack for trips to fish from shore? I guess could always bring a 2 piece in a tube and have it separate in oversize luggage
  6. Sorry to hear, Cliff. That's a bugger for sure
  7. Ya was wondering where you meant. Gannon? Omeeme?
  8. Hi Guys. Just got back from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Excellent time at all inclusive resort Canto Del Sol, thru Sunwing. ($925 for the week) Saw 2 guys fishing from the beach. Not much in the way of fish. 1 guy had a fairly heavy telescopic rod and medium spinning reel. About 8 ft. The other guy had a med/heavy 4 piece Cabela baitcaster rod with a Penn reel. about 7 ft. I'm thinking I'd like to buy an outfit to fit into a suitcase to always take along. Anybody have any recommendations and where to get them? Thanks Peter
  9. I use Berkley Crystal. Braid made for spinning reels. No experience with that heavy stuff though. Flouro "leader Material" for leader. Tougher than reg. fluoro line
  10. You are right James. Thot it was Dec 15 but just doublechecked. Muskie close Dec 15. Eyes Nov 15
  11. Ya. I have a similar boat and HP. Should be getting 38-40mph. with that original prop RPMs are OK. Shouldn't cavitate when trim modestly My guess is motor too high. Not easy to change let us know. Jamie at kawartha prop is great He got me onto a 4 blade. hole shot better and fuel economy improved. trolling a bit faster. only down side
  12. Nailed a 42 in on Pigeon 2 weeks ago. Water temp was 54 F. Trolled 3 mph I bet temps are now in the high fourties. I'm thinking slower presentation. I remember a show where Charlie Wray was doing well on the Kawarthas in 45 degree water but had to slow way down He was casting. Saying that, in deeper water, temps are still warmer. That's where the big girls are likely hangin out.
  13. we'll let you keep posting well done!
  14. So, this is new to me. Check the gear oil and leave it in? What would be a bad sign? Water would settle to the bottom I presume I might put 50 hrs/yr. Can it be left in for 2 yrs?
  15. Very glad to hear indeed!
  16. No change of gear oil? No need to change motor oil on your girl.
  17. You want a deep cycle battery. Is it a 12, 24 or 36 v motor?
  18. Most marinas send there props to Kawartha Prop in Buckhorn. Can go there directly
  19. Just wondering if he dropped the lower unit and lubricated the driveshaft. This is a common problem with Yammies. Lack of grease to bushings on the driveshafts. Squeals. Mine does it.
  20. I have same engine. Do it for about $80 in supplies myself What does "Lube Outdrive and put it up" mean?
  21. Might not be a dock
  22. pig. so you believe in the moon stuff........
  23. Did mine yesterday as mentioned. Was surprised how much water came out the front livewell valve before the pink Antifreeze did. Likely enough to damage plumbing when frozen Have never done the bilge, though.
  24. Heading up to the cottage on north Pigeon. Would like to find some eyes. Anybody have tips for this time of year? Depth, speed to troll, weededges, lures? Caught a couple in Sept trolling perch Walleye Divers/Taildancers in 15-20 ft near weededges. Usually strike out late Oct. Noticed there are no panfish at the dock lately. Bait has gone deep or to midlake humps, I'm guessing Thanks, Peter
