Wow, really? Nobody can put a link up? If you dont watch the news and know everything already dont bother asking what this is about folks!

I'm not looking for secret locations, just a general idea. My bday is Jan 28th and my wonderful boss has given me a three day weekend. Me and a buddy decided we're gonna do the haliburtons one day, i have a couple lakes in mind but generally just looking for some lakes where pike and lakers exist. I dont need to know where there's tons, just where they exist. If you have details on where a couple first time ice laker chasers would likely hook up, i'd certainly appreciate it, but it's not necessary. Thanks!

I would not walk across the ice in the dark, but then again I haven't grown up knowing that as a winter walking trail. I'd say it's a tragic mishap, nothing more. Condolensces to the family.

The + version does have AC input, AND video output for recording or transferring to a larger screen (tablet etc). The 50' cable will be 30' too much for almost all my fishing trips, so that doesnt bother me.

It'd be nice if they sold the camera / cable on its own and teamed it with a smartphone app. THAT would be ultimate.

Has anybody used it? Looks awesome! A cell sized aqua-vu! Very much want to order one but hoped to get some real life reviews before dropping $400.

I allow the fish last words and already gave it a last meal, prayers are for dinner time if you're into that.. it couldn't be more humane. Those fish chose exhile.

Before the thaw brought it into turbulent chocolate milk... I fished around the ice booms as best I could through the brantford stretch.. notta. I have definitely had good winter days there though. I'd wait til it settles.

I've never caught one, my uncle ice fished for them exclusively though and always got his on a bunch of salties on a big old jighead fishing haliburton lakes. He used to get some biggies doing that.

We were at 6 here before the thaw. Muskokas are usually double. Im talking small lakes.

It was two days of warmth. If there's still two inches here in the south i think muskokas are probably at about 12" now.

I imagine I'll slam perch, crappies, gills and big northerns through the ice. I'll spend spring catching giant catfish and carp, steelhead and crappies. In the summer I'll focus on trophy bass and pike worth catching (38" and up). Fall continues that, accompanied by big salmon and spring trout. Hope to get up for muskies and some bigger walleye this year at some point, as well as catch my first laker.

Actually, for a fair comparison you'd have to smother the deer with a pillow. Fish have gills.

I get two personal days per year Loblaws pays me to fish... Got one coming right around my birthday I think... And there's nothing unethical about that. They're given for us to use at our leisure for any given purpose, unquestioned. I don't call in sick to fish. When I was a part time cleanup kid that was a different story but I'm often in charge of the department and calling in sick would screw everyone over.

"Professional Staff" seems more like a label for an employee at the store. Haha

The fish don't feel it either way. Bonk it, let it die, bleed it out, snap the neck.. and if you're worried about being humane - use rubber hooks and dont keep anything.

I've never hooked anything through the ice that fought like that! Awesome!!

And the preserved minnows suck. They are filled with that fish repelling substance called BORAX which i have no idea why its still applied to any application related to fishing anymore.

You could use a carp as bait because it is a minnow.

I think we'll be starting from scratch again waiting for fresh ice... 3 days of 10 degrees but worst part is the forecasted 10mm of rain all three days.
