With the recent cold temps, I thought there would be
more ice than that. Could the currents be hindering the ice making proces.
....and people are driving cars and trucks on L. Simcoe.
I don't get it.
Thanks for the update Capt. Hooked.
Once again, thanks for your reports/updates skevys01.
Good to hear the fish are anxious to take
an anglers offering. Lots of happy ice anglers out there.
At least you got out, even if the fish weren't co-operating.
You brought the BBQ too. Nice move. Just because the fish aren't biting,
doesn't mean the anglers have to go hungry.
I guesss the pic(s) causing the stir have already been removed.
I should be able to attend again this year and will see about
adding something to the prize table.
Working on getting my ice palace ready in time
for the grand event.
Will be great to see everyone again.
A good turnout.
Wish I was closer. I may have passed by to say hello.....in person.
Glad to hear it was a good time for our southwestern Ontario members.
I've seen, and heard, the chainsaw method.
Extremely messy and wet. I would think the oil gets in the lake too.
I have a 10" power auger and it's the best thing for thick ice and/or quick holes.
......and I don't get wet.
