  1. Maybe we should ask if they want to play a few more games for us Roy.
  2. While watching the Toronto Pittsburg game tonight, there was mention of a 40th anniverary celebration of the 1967 Toronto Maple Leaf Stanley Cup winning team. This celebration will be extra special because word is that a former captain, one of the greatest leafs ever and MVP of those 1967 playoffs, Dave Keon, will be attending the ceremonies after a decades long boycott of the Leafs organization. Did I mention DAVE KEON will attend the festivities. I was very young, but remember having collected Dave's hockey card, along with others way back in the 70's. Being a lifelong Maple Leafs fan, it brought a tear to my eye to think a great hockey legend like Keon will be back with the leafs to celebrate that last cup win. I hope this isn't just a nasty joke.
  3. It was ugly. I love watching the talent on the Penguins, but Toronto is still my team. We'll bounce back.......eventually.
  4. Lucky son of a gun.
  5. Aw crap !!! I always miss the good stuff. Welcome to our OFC family M.C.
  6. I won't be there, but have a great trip and bring us back some pics to add to your report.
  7. Did he steal your dinner, or just ruin the pic of two beautiful hammer handles ?
  8. I don't see a problem with photoshop stuff. Some people don't want hoards of anglers fishing and/or ruining their favourite spots, so they change the background to hide the location. Some photoshop for humor, etc. Some pics are real, but we believe they are photoshop work, like people in tutu's. Reports are for everyone. If you're not interested, you don't have to say so. If someone reports from B.C. and I'm in southern Ontario, I look at the report as just that, a report. I wouldn't turn my nose up or get bent because it's from somewhere I probably would never fish. If I like the report, which I usually do, I'll say so. If by chance I don't like it for whatever reason, I can move on. Is this too simple a concept for some people to understand.
  9. Only problem I can see is someone letting those beautiful pike take their picture with that southern redneck. At least they made him put a shirt on.
  10. Hope for more nights of the same or colder. -20 for 4 nights ought to get 'er done. -5 to -10 overnight should maintain it nicely. Guess I like to dream.
  11. Don't get your Calvin's in a knot TbayBoy. Never hurts to keep extra lures around because the popular ones get pretty beaten up or lost to logs, rocks, break offs, etc. I have lots of doubles, triples, quads, quintuplets and even a sixtuplet of salmon spoons. (I hope I got the spelling right.) Lots of doubles, triples in body baits and other tackle too. I lose a few of my favourites every now and then, so it's nice to know I have backup. I hate it though when I lose one that's not replaceable, especially if it's a good lure for me. There's one salmon plug (colour) that I can't find at any local shops. It used to be very popular 10 - 15 years ago, but I lost one of the two I had last summer to a monster bow that decided it wanted to be an astronaut. Look for it every chance I get, but no luck. Guess I can order it, if it's even made anymore. There will be more deals I'm sure. At least got a deal on the duplicates. Tightlines dude.
  12. Cute little bugger. Congrats on the new addition.
  13. Yes, there is a Princess Auto location in London. Here ya go Clive. My Webpage
  14. Just pray for cold.
  15. They must have been awfully hungry to waste that missle on one fish. Here's a thought. Get a few rods and reels for the boys and put the missles away. Yeah, I know. We're not dealing with people who use reasoning and common sense.
  16. WOW !!! I guess the driver's just don't know enough to slow down. Shouldn't be on the roads at all in those conditions.
  17. Tanks much for the update Rick.
  18. Good to hear Christmas was enjoyable for you and your family. Thanks for updating us. Wish your son all the best with his health. Take care.
  19. That's the kind of news we like to hear Charles. Seems like you healed up pretty quick, but I know there's still a lot of healing left. I broke a vertibrae in my spine a few years ago and took at least 1 year to heal enough to say it was O.K, but it will never be 100% again. Wish you all the best with the recovery bud.

    GPS locks

I never leave my sonar/GPS unit in the boat, unless I'm within view. Even when renting cottages, I'll leave it in to eat lunch, but when I get in for the night, I park at the dock and take out sonar, tackle and rods and anything else that may grow legs and walk away. The locks look pretty neat though. I'm sure they would help deter thieves and the cost is minimal compared to your Lowrance unit.
  21. Good to hear you're still fishing despite the weather Cliff. I guess us Canadian boys and girls have blood a wee bit thicker than our U.S. neighbours. Glad to hear you're going to get out on a charter. It'll be fun for sure. Get into some different species. Bring us back a pic of a big one.
  22. Exactly what I was thinking Geritt.
  23. Thanks for the info Ron. I'd be waiting a little longer before attempting to get out there. 2 - 4 inches isn't enough to even get me interested.
  24. I'm in Mr. and Mrs. Sauga, so a bit too far of a drive to check for deals which may be long gone by the time I get there. Thanks for the info though. I'm sure it will be useful to someone else.
  25. Quite a few members in the Toronto area Kayakfisher. Hope you enjoy the OFC experience.
