I remember the limit on brookies being 15 or 1 fish and 10 pounds, which ever is the least, so you could keep 15 pannies or in trophy waters a 7 and 2 x 5's.

Dad had a green Johnson 5 1/2, as a kid we'd go to Ray's Boat Livery in Port Colborne and rent a 16 cedar strip Powasson. Ray Prophet was an American from Florida and wore one of those hats just like skipper in Gilligan's Island , going rate back in the late 50's was 50 cents an hour or $3 for the day

I too used a top load Little Chief starting in the mid eighties , it finally died , the racks and frame were also galvanized they got pretty nasty considering we are talking food . One tip, I always kept the box it came in with the ends removed, when cold out I would slip the square cardboard tube over the unit to maintain temperature. I just use a box with wet chips on the BBQ now, but am not doing massive amounts of salmon like back then.

Ontario to spend $7-billion on sweeping climate change plan

scuro ........ if you look at the graph you posted in post #383 , it is not a smooth sine curve, it is quite jagged, where the climate has gone against the long term trend for fairly long periods of time, we are warming now, what's to say that in another 100 years our grandkids won't be hoping the ice is off the lakes in Haliburton for trout opener like in my youth. -
nice fish for your first

While looking last night , I did find this addon for Kodi, lots of match and carp/coarse fishing videos from Europe. I see the New Flyfisher and some other north american shows. It needs you to have the Youtube addon installed as most of this is on there. This video shows installing the repo and addon. -
As about 12 year old, we camped at Restoule for a week back in about 62, caught my first pickeral there. All I remember was a pack of boats would anchor on a shoal in front of a bare rock on the south shore quite a ways down the lake every evening and everyone caught fish , live bait was the rule. Couple years later , my Scout Troop camped at Grundy for a week, not sure which lake the group campground was on but we'd got the occasional pickeral from shore, we didn't have any boats .

And just exactly why would it not be getting warmer COMING OUT of an ice age, I believe in global warming , that's indisputable, I just don't believe man is a majour contributor to something that has been going on for centuries. Get ready to break even more records in the future, the poles were ice free eons ago and will be again. -
That Ford F 250 death wobble looks identical to when the steering damper went south on my '68 VW Beetle

Bet they will interest seagulls floating on the surface -
As a long time pickup owner and home owner, I'm sold on staying with an SUV type vehicle with a good trailer hitch and getting a landscape trailer with box at least an inch bigger than a sheet of plywood and capacity to handle a yard of crushed stone or topsoil. Works way better for me. edit: I don't worry about the box on the trailer, had a front end loader dump lots in it like in the commercial. Occasional coat of tremclad and all is good. The load height is also a lot better for shoveling off a load of topsoil to a wheel barrow than constantly climbing up into a pickup and being able to drop your load and unload at your convenience is nice. Just saying but I guess a guy needs at least 1 pickup in his life, I did.

So this will move them to an unprotected species like other pests under the Ontario Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act which states " The FWCA does not protect the following six birds or their nests and eggs in most of Ontario: American Crow, Brown-headed Cowbird, Common Grackle, Red-winged Blackbird, European Starling, and House Sparrow. " so you can shoot them at will or there be seasons and bag limits ??

been a lot of years since our Legal System remotely resembled a Justice System

That's what I thought earlier, Ontario can't make that call .

Ontario to spend $7-billion on sweeping climate change plan
dave524 replied to fishnsled's topic in General Discussion
Actually , Glens optics on time frame and those who look at the past 20 years of temperature warming are not that different considering these trends take place over millennia with mini trends of a few hundred years along the way. -
Good , The Canadian Legal System got it right a Justice System would have given them a far harsher penalty. Was a bit nervous with the jury out for days on what I thought was a slam dunk for the prosecution.
