  1. I saw something similar back in the late 80's when they still stocked salmon in lake Erie. If you are familiar with Youngs Creek , Norfolk County, there is a dam and a parking lot at the town of Vittoria. There had been a lot of rain one fall we figured everything else would be blown, it takes a lot of rain to blow Youngs with the sandy soil so we drove down , much to our surprise the parking lot had six inches of water in it and the crazy Cohos were trying to make redds in the gravel.
  2. My wife does a bunch of online gaming, I believe she said Chrome no longer supports Java script, so she has to use another browser for a few games that are Java based. Could be the issue or maybe not
  3. That's pretty far south for a purebred wolf, even Algonquin Park wolves are a mix of Gray Wolf, Eastern Wolf and Coyote. I understand most of the southern Ontario coyotes have a bunch of Red Wolf genes in them they picked up on their eastward expansion through the midwest. I'd hazard to guess anything south of the French Mattawa river line is pretty much a Heinz 57 , maybe favouring one set of characteristics over the other.
  4. The videos are a bit dated but might still be useful https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Jocelyn+Leung+at+SLA
  5. I understand originally the Jays had offered him 80 mill for 4 years, rumour has it some one offered him 60 for three recently so maybe he's trying to get that old offer back. edit: sorry,my mistake, that was Edwin
  6. For sure, I started fishing smallies with Dad out of Port Colborne in the late 50's , remember dad taking 3rd in a weekend bass derby probably around 1970 with a fish that just barely broke the 4 pound mark. Since the gobies, a 4 pounder and twoonie will get you a cup of coffee.
  7. They are only delaying the inevitable , Scugog is in the final stages of lake succession .
  8. As a teen in the 60's one of the first rituals of spring was going pike spearing, they tasted pretty good in March too.
  9. Wife is catching up on " The Voice " as we speak, we are viewing it with the Exodus addon, No change here when I was watching it earlier but we run it on a old laptop.
  10. Good thing the Raptors were playing as well
  11. Wait till you fill the tank tomorrow.
  12. Nothing wrong with keeping a limit of jackfish for the table/freezer, especially from the Kawarthas.
  13. down 2 less than a minute in
  14. The party bass fishing boats on the Inner Bay at Long Point, there was a few in the 70's and earlier, used to drag a piece of heavy chain when drifting to stir up the sandy bottom to attract the bass.
  15. The furnace probably is an oil burner and that is what is inside the jugs. As a kid we heated with an oil burning heater , it was in the livingroom and you filled a tank on the back with a galvanized watering can.
  16. One of the good things about being over 65 is that the music of my youth didn't suck, yeah there was bubble gum rock but some stuff gets better with age.
  17. The restriction, according to the article is Dec 15 to March 15. so it would no affect deer hunting but rabbit and predator hunters would be SOL. Probably the snowmobilers doing the whining
  18. I'm sure Hudak wouldn't have cancelled the hospital in his home riding if the PC's had won the election , so , regardless of what you say, we will still blame the Liberals for the loss in this riding as evidenced by the recent bye election results with the lieberals coming in a distant third .
  19. Food Basic has pork loins on for $1.44 a pound this week, just did one on the Sunday for pulled pork sandwiches after cutting off 10 boneless chops for the freezer, gotta grab another tomorrow.
  20. West Lincoln Memorial is actually under the Hamilton Health Sciences umbrella and system and a teaching hospital for McMaster, my wife and I are sent to Mac for cat scans and specialty stuff, I don't see the StKitts hospital affecting the decision. Edit: Most here interpret the cancellation as a spiteful act as this was Hudaks riding until recently and over the years solidly Conservative both federally and provincially and resounding Conservative as of the recent bye election.
  21. Not where I live. We were less than a year from breaking ground on a new West Lincoln Hospital until she put a stop to it.
  22. The bye election in my riding the Liberals were held to just under 15 % of the popular vote and the PC's had about 55 % with the Dippers coming in a distant second at 25 %. Ottawa Vanier I understand is largely French and probably a lot of federal government Liberal trough feeders there.
  23. Terry , I remember I picked up my silver 2006 Liberty and don't you post an identical vehicle a few days later, exactly same trim and colour but a CRD. 10 years old and 75,000 km.,I need to get out more
  24. Started the Jeep a few minutes ago to come home from grabbing a few groceries and it started to beep every 10 secs and flashed a warning " LOWASH " I immediately assume it is LOW ASH and something to do with the emissions, Thankyou google for clearing up that only the windshield washer fluid is low
