Your right, it's been a long time , the Grand River / Dunnville flows into Lake Erie and there is a closed season there. -

When I in the Port Rowan / Long Point area in the 70's the RCMP did a lot of the Migratory Game Bird Enforcement, they were obviously well trained in waterfowl identification, the regulations and had waders, boats , really well equipped for the task . On occasion they would even roadblock the causeway and pull over any hunters for a vehicle search during duck season. -
Not boiled , more like steamed, they are rubbed with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, brown sugar and paprika and sit on a trivet above the liquid. Do I get a free pass or am I still a heretic edit : to make things worse I microwaved the baked potato we had with them

The Port Boundaries , to my knowledge are unchanged in over 50 years since dad would take me and rent a 16 foot cedar strip from Ray's Boat Livery for 50 cents a hour or 3 bucks for the day, he would put his green 5 1/2 horse Johnson on the back and we would put out to the foghorn or if he was real adventurous the pilot boat buoy and troll for Yellow Pickeral. The locals should have a pretty good handle on the boundaries by now. 6 pounders are more common now than 4's back then. -
Did ribs last week, 25 minutes in the Instant Pot pressure cooker with some apple juice and liquid smoke , mopped them with BBQ sauce and finished them under the broiler for about 10 minutes in the gas oven, fall apart tender in under an hour

The bass sanctuaries out of Port Colborne are just as bad. -
Looks like a spoon for vertical or ice fishing, can you slip a double in those side holes ?

Just don't buy one with an OMC I/O sterndrive, on iboats they are referred to as the "white leg of death " in some circles.

I starting playing with this back in the late 70's, yes shorter and fatter gets deeper faster than the more traditional 30 foot head. When building a head I always bought heavier line than the rod was rated , would cut it after a test casting where I felt the rod was optimally loaded. Never got into the spey thing.

I prefer the shooting head concept when fishing sinking flylines, I found this that seems to be a pretty good primer on the technique. Basically it is a weight forward line with the level running line behind the 30 foot head replaced with a heavy mono. https://www.fishing.net.nz/fishing-advice/how-to/tips-for-using-a-shooting-head/

Not sure I want the police enforcing any more than trespass when it comes to fishing and hunting, sadly they don't know the regs in most cases and on the roads they let you go 55 in a 50 with no ticket, guess you would be OK with 55 perch on a 50 perch limit too. When was the last time a CO pulled you over for a traffic offence ? -
Weird, I had assumed they appeared where adds or banners etc. were supposed to be, but they appear to be totally random where they show up.

If buying used and some one offers you a Grice and Young Avon Royal Supreme RUN as fast as you can, Started with one in the early 80's, total piece of crap, the stuff today for under $200 is a hundred times better. An old knurled rim , clickerless, non anodized Stanton is still a favourite of mine an should be under 2 bills still but the bare aluminum will leave your hands black by the end of the day .

I tried to get that stuff 30 plus years ago unsuccessfully, was going to use it as shooting line on a Hi Density 30 foot shooting head fly line , ended up using 100 feet of 20 pound Maxima, it worked fine. edit: you would not believe how effective a 280/300 grain head with a short leader and a black Wooly Bugger is at dragging smallies off the bottom in 10 to 20 feet of water, just saying

There was a recent update to Chrome that caused some problems to about half the users of Software Defined Radio site I listened to, weird only some had this problem. This eventually was the fix after a couple of days of searching, might be related. Starting up a new post just to clarify the "no sound" problem in the latest release of Chrome for Windows:. Copy and paste the below URL into your Chrome address bar: chrome://flags/#autoplay-policy Then, make sure it's set to "No user gesture is required". edit: are these black boxes associated with advertisements? seems this is an attempt to get tough with unwanted adds but there is some unwanted casualties as well. https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2017/09/autoplay-policy-changes

I had that exact model, yes 2 pans is all you need for a stronger flavoured fish like salmon, one pan might be sufficient for a mild fish. Continue to dry after the pans are done to your desired dryness.

Dad was a tournament caster in the late 40's, I learned on his worn out direct drive Inglis Shakespeares and Langley's, no free spool, no centrifugal brake or magnetic brakes, only a thumb. Picked strawberries at 5 cents a quart to buy my own reel in 1964, still got it , a Shakespeare Sportcast, think it was 15 bucks .

Lost power for 4 hours , 2 sections of wooden fence blew off, just laying down and just need to nail it back , wife offered to help but told her too dangerous with this wind, we'll wait till the wind drops, I'll take the girls out on a leash until then.

Actually I've read that previously frozen fish works best for smoking, the freezing and thawing breaks down the cell walls allowing for better brine penetration. Go for it.

In addition to the baited spinner in the walleye's upper jaw there seems to be a curly tail jig in the corner of the pike's mouth ?? I had a Ski grab a walleye opening weekend in a boat below the dam at Bobcaygeon, would have been "76 I think.

Naw , he will serve any sentences concurrently, he could be out in like 15 years They will say he is no longer a threat if he stays on medication or some bullcrap.

Haven't we seen this movie before ? Mixed emotions, think I would have rather seen it over after game 5 than to lose another 7th game.
