Sweet backyard Rich. Get any other species out of there?
-
Thanks Lew. I haven't been through Barry's Bay for a long time but I don't remember seeing this park, is it new?

Leafs will finish somewhere between 27th & 30th, giving Boston another lottery pick, just like last year.

Good on you frozen-fire, you're a superhero to turtles everywhere.

Any public access points on Puslinch Lake?
jediangler replied to shimano25's topic in General Discussion
After all the rain we've had the last two days, I don't think the Grand will be very productive. Go to Shade's Mill and fish from shore. -
Perhaps this is why Chrysler is in trouble...
jediangler replied to Gerritt's topic in General Discussion
Chrysler is in trouble because they design crappy cars that no one wants. You think the workers at every other major car company or other industries are any different? And having a Union makes no difference in what the workers will do during company time. They just hide it better and can still not be fired if they say they have a problem (Alchoholism/drug addiction). I've done factory work since 1983 and construction before that. If I ever worked a shift where no one indulged in some vice or another, it would be a shock. Some of you need to get out more . -
WFN - Big City Fishing - 10:00pm Tonight

I think maybe they are going geographically east to west across the country. -
Any public access points on Puslinch Lake?
jediangler replied to shimano25's topic in General Discussion
If you want to fish from shore you're better off fishing Little Lake in front of Puslinch lake. There are a number of places along the road where you could cast a line and you have a much better chance of catching something than if you fished Puslinch from shore. -
ADMIN what happend to the gun registry disscussion
jediangler replied to chessy's topic in General Discussion
Even the poll about the registry was locked up almost immediately after it was started. Apparently someone wanted to keep the results of the poll in the dark so they can assert the belief that their opinion is the only opinion. -
Keep the registry and stop the "Operators Card".

I drilled holes in all the aluminum ribs and made them permanent using stainless steel nuts and bolts. I replaced the foam sponsons on mine but never needed to replace the floor in 15yrs. I ordered the sponsons and installed them myself. I think the order came in to New Hamburg from North Bay in two weeks.

My PB from the Kawarthas is this 49" musky. I caught a 48" one the year before. But I am more proud of this 43" musky because I caught it in a kayak. Landed, unhooked and photographed alone with not another boat in sight.

Wednesday muskie report with my new PB
jediangler replied to Fisherpete's topic in General Discussion
Great report and congrats on a new PB. A 100 ski season seems unreal to me as I only get out 6 or 8 times a year after them so congrats on that too. -
It's always better to have the tools and not need them than to need them and not have them. I have not used my cutters in two years and it's been about 5yrs since I used the spreaders. One thing I don't like is the Boga grips as I believe they do too much damage to a musky.

Congrats on the beauty walleye man. We used to fish Elephant lake for years and only ever caught one there too. Don't worry about buying loads of tackle, you already know what the best lure in the world is, a jig & grub combo. Take it from a diehard jig fisherman, everything that swims will take a jig & grub. Just get some different weights and colours and you'll be set for any fishing trip.

Congrats on the beauty ski man. You did well with the photo for being on your own.

Don't forget the new one "Big City Fishing" featuring OFC'er Jamie Pistilli (aka Crazyhook) . Starting soon on WFN.

I thought blues weren't supposed to get as big as yellows. They are reported to have bigger eyes positioned higher up on the head making them kinda froglike from a side view. Most of your pics don't even show the head so it's hard to tell. I caught this one many years ago in a lake that we saw about 10% blues to yellows.

I found this yesterday and so far have identified carp, bowfin, crappie, smallmouth, walleye, pike, musky, perch, gar and a sturgeon. http://www.justin.tv/mndnr1#/w/358097984/5

Mepps Musky Killer in Gold blade with Black buck. Every Canadian tire in Ontario carries them. For trolling I'd say an Orange rapala J-13 also at Canadian tire.

Good to see pics of you and your fish Rich. Have a cheeeseburger or something dude, you're wasting away .

My first thought is, you need to wipe your screen clean of all those water spots. I learned to read mine by drifting over small stones, sand, weeds, and solid rock in shallow water where I could see bottom. Then I watched how each was interpreted on the screen so I could recognize it later in deeper water, where polarized glasses just couldn't cut it .

Thanks guys. I'm not into ice-fishing so I think I'll wait until spring to chase the lakers and big toothy critters. The bass can wait till next summer. What about panfish populations? Are there sunfish, perch, rockbass, bluegills or crappie in the lake. Do you think the lakers and pike survive mostly on the smelts or are there herring or suckers or some other forage I haven't mentioned?

They are on the east shore of the lake, facing northwest. It's going to be their year round residence. It's more of a house than a cottage. They paid $500,000.00 for it. Thanks for the info everyone. They don't take possesion until late October so my first chance to fish it might be next spring. I've never caught a laker, now I'm stoked to try for one.

My in-laws just bought a place on Star Lake up near Parry Sound. Does anyone know anything about this lake like what kind of fish, if any, are in it. I hope there is something in there because I plan on taking my kayak with me when we go to visit and spending all my waking hours on the water.
