  1. Wow, that's great. I was 40yrs old by the time I caught a 42"er. She's off to an excellent start.
  2. Save your disappointment for when we host the winter olympics in Whistler/Vancouver. It will probably be the poorest showing of an olympic host ever.
  3. I use this one. http://www.shrinkpictures.com
  4. Bassman's got the right idea. I've heard of guys throwing an old box spring weighted by 4 cinder blocks under their dock.
  5. Great family report and pics. Pontoons make great kid fishing boats. The fishfinder and eyes covered shot is great.
  6. Sweet musky porn Meely. I would love to get one that size in my kayak.
  7. Nice smallie. Here's one my buddy "The Shipper" caught from Scugog a couple of years ago. Quite the radical difference in colours between them. And you say "arm stretch/optical illusion" like it's a bad thing. I call it creative photography.
  8. No batttle from that guy Leechman, maybe if I was using the ultra-lite. With the baitcaster I just winched it in. The little smallies gave a better fight on the spinning rod. I'd take a 16" smallie over a 20" largie for the fight.
  9. Wow, nice fish and scenery. Great report.
  10. Great family report. It's tough when you lose a big one like that, but it's still better than never hooking one in the first place.
  11. Awesome vid. The Rockbass truly is the "World's Greatest Sport Fish". My first fish was a sunfish, but he next 4 were WGSF.
  12. Your fish from last year looks like a grouper, man that's a big sheepie. Tough as a musky on your tackle.
  13. Great pics. Nice rainbow shot.
  14. Great report and pics. Congrats to MrsEh on the PB smallie. My daughter loves WGSF.
  15. Nice fish, all of them. Feel free to PM me the location.
  16. It was hot and windless on lake Eugenia between 10am and 2pm today. Tried dropshotting for the first time after reading about it on the board. Caught this 14"er on a power jerk shad on a 4/0 hook 16" above a 1/4oz weedless jig & grub on a baitcasting set up. I don't like this style of fishing out of a kayak. I'm sure it's great from the nose of a bass boat. Picked up a couple little smallmouth as well as a rockbass and some dink perch on a 1/8oz jig & grub on the spinning rod before heading back to the car. The boat launch was a zoo at 2pm. Half a dozen waiting to put in and another half dozen waiting to come out. Only one little ramp for everybody. I just pulled up between sandcastles on the beach and dragged the yak to my car.
  17. Nice smallies Cudz. Nice to see someone who owns a boat fishing from shore. I have buddies that won't even fish in someone elses boat if theirs is in the shop.
  18. That's some good eats there Dutch. Nice shiny new ride too.
  19. Nice one CC. I still find it strange to see you with anything other than a trout. I hope to get good one tomorrow, we'll see.
  20. I found the fish-hawk map of Sturgeon to be very helpful. But it hasn't been updated for several years.
  21. Nice work Rich. I haven't really hit any pits this year yet, guess I better start.
  22. Nice fish. We're you going to eat them or were you in a tourney or something. Just wondered why they were in the live well.
  23. If that's all it takes to find the secret spot, I'll carry the canoe .
  24. Gotta love the Grand river. It's funny how you can never get too close to a heron around here. Up at Pigeon lake a couple of weeks ago, a heron landed on the dock and proceeded to panhandle for bluegills and perch that my daughter and an 8yr old boy were catching. It would stand far away until it saw one of the kids bring in a fish. Then after unhooking it we would throw it on the dock and it would come to within 6ft of us to get the fish. After walking back to the end of the dock it would swallow the fish whole and wait patiently for another free meal.
  25. Congrats. It must have been a hoot catching a musky on a jitterbug.
