Lucic is a tough hockey player. Laroque is a goon. Lucic was playing on his teams first line. Laroque was riding the pine. Lucic will be dressed for every playoff game and actually get some ice time. Laroque, not likely. The Bruins were leading by 3 goals at the time, why would he fight? You must be a Habs fan, good luck with that .

Nice work sleded, so when is breakfast?

I've never targetted walleye in Pigeon, but have caught some by accident while fishing for musky. Big Slopmaster spinnerbaits and jointed rapalas have landed me a few in the last couple of years.

Always fun to read your reports and see your excellent photography Bunk. Two thumbs up, way up .

Schneider is out for the season and Markov is out 3 weeks, in other words Markov is out for the season as well. If they make it, they won't win a game against anyone without these two "D" men.

I like my ipod shuffle. Perfect sound and only good tunes. I feel no need to impose my musical tastes on other boaters. Of course I only wear it at "no gas motors" lakes.

Good job. My 8yr old daughter likes the hat.

New little motor for the boat + battery
jediangler replied to MCTFisher9120's topic in General Discussion
I had that same motor for 6 years, and now my buddy has been using it on his boat for the last 2 years. You should get many years out of it as it looks brand new. I upgraded to the maximizer with infinitely variable speed control. It's awesome when you can control prop speed, sometimes forward speed 1 is too fast, or you can dial it in exactly to fit wind speed for great boat control. I mounted my transducer to the bottom with a bracket made by Eagle for their fishfinders. It's protected by the skeg from rock damage and is safely out of the water when you lift your motor. I mount the fishfinder display on a frisbee so it remains upright and I can place it anywhere in the boat. -
Sorry to rain on your parade, but Valens already has a tourney on that date. The John Burns Memorial tourney is held every year on the second Saturday in July, one week after fishing on the conservation area lake opens. This one has been going on for years and attracts a couple hundred fisherpeople. See here for details. http://www.conservationhamilton.ca/parks/visit/valens.asp

Great pics, thanks for sharing.

The WGSF should be C&R only. I find this thread as distasteful as one comparing musky recipes .

One of the best parts of touring on a motorcycle is you can arrive last, and be the first one on a ferry. Also when you arrive, you're the first one to drive off, ahead of all the camper traffic. Nothing worse than following someone towing a tent trailer on twisty northern roads.

The Leafs are going to be hard pressed to get this many points next year. Still at least two more years till they'll be in playoff contention, doesn't matter how many college players they sign.

I don't believe a dead fish put back down the hole is wasted. It would have been consumed by any number of scavengers that survive on dead fish. If a C.O. had stopped you, it might have meant a fine or loss of equipment and a fine. I know that this is a delicate topic, but the law remains clear.

My favourite Metallica song, is any one that I can download for free.

I like gold & black Panther Martin spinners.

How do you know Your addicted to fishing?
jediangler replied to bassassin's topic in General Discussion
I rode the ferry from Manitoulin island to Tobermory one time without fishing. -
The park guys are right there on site. It would take them all of 5 minutes to drive from the other side of the lake over to where the poachers are. I just think they don't care.

It'll be like that every weekend from now till opener at Mountsberg. Pike isn't actually out of season till April 1st, just the conservation area isn't open for fishing. They should nail them for no fees or using live bait as well as getting the guys on the tracks for trespassing. I see it there every year, even after it is open, the rules continue to be ignored and the authorities turn a blind eye.

You'll have to wait until the second Saturday in May to fish Mountsberg, that's when it opens, on pike opener. You may be able to fish somewhere else before then. I know Valens doesn't open for fishing until July 1st, but maybe Shades mill or Guelph lake. Puslinch lake is always an option. You could try for panfish or perch there. Orangeville is another conservation area you could try.

How many rods can you troll on lake O?
jediangler replied to Crazyhook's topic in General Discussion
Maybe he has multiple personalities . -
Welcome to the board. All the usual lures will catch pike at Shades. There used to be some good sized ones in there, but recently, there have been mostly little hammer handles. You'll have to wait until the second Saturday in May to try for them though.

I'm with Blaque, once a year when we have our boy's weekend musky trip, we fry up a few crappie, perch and bluegill for lunch.

I've been out to Kelso in both my kayak and my Sportspal. There are largemouth bass and perch for sure as well as any left over rainbows from previous years stocking. I don't believe it is stocked every year anymore. It is a very noisy place to fish due to the 401 and all the trucks that are howling down the highway. If you have an ipod you'll be glad you brought it.
