They like to go fishing too.

Immediately following the game Don Cherry tore into Dion, in his post game rant, about the helmet and visor and about turning down the opposing captain but agreeing to fight a first liner. He showed Horton taking his helmet off and laying it down on the ice before approaching Dion. Dion reached up to his helmet and pulled it down to cover his face before the fight. Cherry was very dissappointed and he is the one who said Dion will be dealt with on the 31st.

Nice pics Dan. Schenn's goal and Dion tucking his chin in and wearing a visor for a fight after his opponent took his helmet off. Funny how he wasn't interested in dropping the gloves when the Bruin's captain wanted to go. I guess he knew a visor wouldn't have helped him against the big man. Rematch and a beating coming to Dion on March 31st.

I bought the Wetskins at Costco yesterday for $50. My old Wetskins have lasted 15 years and they just started leaking through the seams. I never treated them with anything and always abused them liberally.

He'll still always be Serpico first to me.

Used to be a good population of Gar pike in there as well.

I've been playing with the same guys on Sunday mornings for 23 years. Played as a kid and quit when high school started. Took it up again at 25 and overdosed in the mid 90's playing six times a week in three leagues. Now it's once every two weeks because of continental shifts. I look forward to those Sunday mornings like they were musky openers. I'm not quitting until my knees give out or Lookingforwalleye gives me a concussion in an old-timers game.

Is There Anything Better Than.....

I loved my time as Mr.Mom as well. Too bad it doesn't pay more or I would do it full-time. Time speeds up drastically once you have a little one around. Taking mine to the Niagara Outdoors Show tomorrow. http://www.niagaraoutdoorshow.com/ We'll also stop to check out the falls as my 10yr old thinks the only thing in Niagara Falls is Marineland. -
Let's hope so, Jer. Back home where they belong.

Just ship all the Coyotes to Glendale, Arizona. They won't stand a chance.

Who are the habs gonna send after Chara next game? If they call up another guy like White the league will not let him play and fine the Habs. If they're gonna poke the big man they better bring more ambulances than they usually do. Only Hall Gill is close to his weight class but he wouldn't stand a chance against Lucic let alone Chara. Maybe Habs fans will get the picture when they remove that stretch of glass from the Bell Centre.

As a Bruins fan, in all seriousness, any play that ends with a Hab going off the ice on a stretcher is a good play. Chara gets a fine and no suspension.

Never stayed at Jack's but I have had great experiences with Miller's Timber Sands.

The Leafs bagged another LOSER point again tonight. Do you know that the Leafs never accumulated 100 points until the loser points were added? They are getting ready to break the hearts of their fans again by getting close but not close enough .

Suggestion for a Kawarthas August long weekend resort rental?
jediangler replied to saspirilli's topic in General Discussion
There is also Miller's Timber Sands on Jack's lake. Really nice people and great rental boats. http://www.millerstimbersands.com/ -
My 10yr old daughter is appalled that Mr. Grant is finished as Mantracker. As a Pheonix Coyotes fan she's excited to see the new season premier with Captain Shane Doan as the prey. I wonder who they will pair him with? Can't see it being as good with anyone else doing the hunting.

Fishing with John is my all=time favourite. He's done shows with Dennis Hopper, Matt Dillon, WillemDafoe and Tom Waits. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUCuAgFjcM8&feature=autoplay&list=PLD13759ED87A71880&index=6&playnext=2 Tom catches a fish and puts it in his pants because he's depressed.

I have no experience on Shades through the ice Rich. It does hold crappies, perch and bass as well as some snot rocket pike. I wouldn't drive more than 30 minutes to get there. Maybe try Guelph or Orangeville.

what song are you listening to right now???
jediangler replied to fishing n autograph's topic in Non-Outdoors Open Discussion
I've always enjoyed listening to Radiohead, on my ipod, in my kayak. Lately I've been searching up really good live acoustic performances done by the band on youtube. This one was performed in Montreal. -
That's the same yak I bought Tropypikehunter. It has served me well and will continue to do so for my daughter. I did replace it with the lightest yak I could find. It weighs 30lbs, 36lbs with the seat installed. I had to drive 300km to Muskoka to get it but I don't regret it. The most valuable thing is that we can now spend time on the water together.

There is a Hobie PA (pro angler) for sale on Yakfisher.net for $1900. It is the aircraft carrier of kayaks at 118lbs but is a deal at that price.
-
That's as good a starter yak as you'll find for that price range IMHO. If you are over 6'2" or over 225lbs, it might be a little on the small size for your comfort. I paid $279 for my first yak at Crappy tire over 6 yrs ago and my daughter has inherited now. The best advice is to test paddle as many different kinds before making a big $$ purchase but to get you started that one will do the trick. I like the sit-in cockpit combined with the sit-on style of cratewell at the back. Check out Yakfisher.net and ask any questions on that forum and you'll get answers from experienced yakkers and fishermen from Ontario & Quebec.

Now that guy is impressive.
