  1. Don't lose hope Habs fans. It's a 5 game series now and Montreal has home ice advantage.
  2. Gustavson just signed for two more years with the Leafs. Right now the Leafs have almost $9million tied up in Goaltenders towards the cap.
  3. This is exactly why I was against opening the Kawarthas early. You know people are gonna abuse it.
  4. I'm sure the Leaf fans love affair with Kessel will end after another season. Take it from someone who has watched him for two years before he came to Toronto. He has one move, shoot it through the legs of the defence. He won't go into the so called "dirty areas", he won't take a hit to make a play, he won't throw a hit to save his life, he is not a team first kind of guy and if Wilson ever benches him for being selfish, he'll be demanding a trade within the week. Didn't any of you Leaf fans wonder why he couldn't score a goal in 6 games against the Bruins? If you play him physically, he disappears. Be happy with what you got from him this season because it will be his most productive one as a Leaf. I figure next year he'll miss 30 games or more with injuries. He looks good playing on the Leafs because the rest of the team are college players that never got drafted. This is probably one of the best trades ever made by a Bruins GM, next to Barry Pederson to Vancouver for Cam Neely and 3 first round picks.
  5. I'd suggest looking for a used Sportspal if you must use the motor. If not, then look for a kayak and paddle away for the best stealth fishing you can get. Don't forget, you'll need an operators card for your dingy if you use the motor.
  6. I sold my 14' transom model to OFC'er Frozen-Fire last year for $500 and it had quick release, swivelling, padded seats with backrests as well as drink holders.
  7. Kadri is golfing thanks to the Kitchener Rangers putting out London, he'll get a chance to golf with all the other Leafs now. If he makes the team next year, you know Boston will be getting another high pick in the draft.
  8. I live in Kitchener and would rather travel to BassPro once or twice a year than get hosed at either Rainbow or Natural Sports. Don't drive too far or you'll be disappointed.
  9. I love what Burke is doing, of course I'm a Bruins fan and will be looking forward to another high pick next year courtesy of the Leafs. Burke said today that he's not looking to change anything on the defensive end. The Leafs allowed the 2nd most goals in the league as well as had the worst PK and worst PP in the league. The last team to finish last in those two categories was also coached by Ron Wilson. The goalies he's keeping were ranked 29th and 39th in the league. It's almost as if he believes that the hopes and dreams of Leafs nation alone will improve the team. Good luck with that.
  10. Last time I saw one, last summer, I was on Scugog in my kayak. He checked 4 boats all around me and moved on. Last time I was stopped by one, was on Seymour lake in 1998. He was polite and we had everything we were required to have so he wished us luck and that was that.
  11. When I was driving my motorcycle around lake Superior, I fell in love with the town of Rossport. Only place I ever thought I would like to retire to.
  12. Thanks for the "heads-up" bassman, just picked up a pair.
  13. Loving the fact that my Bruins made it in officially this afternoon and for setting an NHL record by scoring 3 shorthanded goals in 1:04. No team has ever scored 3 shorthanded goals on one penalty before and my Bruins did it in little over half a penalty. Thanks again to the Leafs for the 1st round pick and for Tuuka Rask, the goalie with the best save percentage and goals against average in the league. Looking forward to another high pick next year. Golf Leafs Golf.
  14. I belong to a kayak fishing site that allows lurkers to view all the forums except the fishing reports section. They can read up on how to rig various different kayaks, what members suggest for equipment and the buy, sell & trade sections. If they join then they can view the fishing reports section without a minimum post count. If OFC had a members only forum instead of a fishing reports section available to members only, it would still be full of NF crap like it is now. It's not a members only area we need it's a fishing reports area viewable only by the members and post count should not come into play.
  15. I believe it's time OFC started a sub-forum just for reports, and like many other forums, it should be viewable only by the members. Let the lurkers read the posts about repairing outboards, seminars by tv fishing hosts, how to cook an easter turkey, why my toilet doesn't work, where to store your boat, how to build a deer blind, how thieves can steal your money from a bank machine, happy birthday wishes, and pictures of vintage motorcycles. They will either join the forum and eventually become contributing members or find another place to poach fishing spots.
  16. Excellent link Joe. After searching through a few pages I even found my bike, a BMW R65. Of course mine is set up for touring and looks nothing like the custom job in the pic. I'll be passing the link on to my father who raced in the 50's and will be excited to see the Norton Manx and the street racing version of the Greeves, which was his last bike. We usually go to Paris, Ontario for the vintage bike show which is held on Father's Day just to see what bikes will show up.
  17. Nice pike and nice Sportspal.
  18. We don't all have lure companies giving us unlimited tackle to use on fishing shows. I cut only if the survival of the fish is in question. Of the last 10 muskies I caught over the past 2 seasons, only 1 needed the hooks cut. Of course I don't use lures with multiple trebles, or live bait, when musky fishing. I burn bucktails for the most part and the majority of my hook-ups are in the front or side of the mouth, making hook removal fairly easy. It's always a good idea to have bolt cutters and a jaw spreader at hand when pursuing skis.
  19. I usually wear the cheapies but I do have a pair of Maui Jims that are really great.
  20. I would love an FJ cruiser for myself, but if money was no object, I'd go for the Toyota Venza as a family vehicle. I respect Ford for not taking any taxpayers money in a bailout but the one Ford I owned needed the engine and transmission replaced. I guess that's why they say "Have you driven a Ford lately?"
  21. Good quality polarized sunglasses, wide brimmed hat, and a long sleeved light coloured shirt.
  22. Glad to hear it flew away on it's own. Like Rick said if you ever come across a raptor in distress, Mountsberg conservation area has a center devoted to these beautiful birds. http://www.conservationhalton.on.ca/ShowCa...m?subCatID=1455
  23. All that matters was Miroslav's EVIL deke on Giggy to end the game. Go Bruins.
  24. That one has been making the rounds on the kayak fishing forums for a couple of weeks now. I have had threats from canada geese and a swan one time, but nothing to that extent. Why he didn't grab it by the neck and throw it back into the lake, I don't know.
  25. It won't matter what line Poni is on in Pittsburgh, he'll have a better center than he's had in Toronto since Sundin left. Forty is within his reach for sure.
