B1 Fishing - Mortality Rate - 44% - Not A Good Look
Garnet replied to AKRISONER's topic in General Discussion
The typical dead fish penalty is 4oz/per fish so if all your fish where " fish care penalty's" (dead Fish) that's 1.4 lbs. You are not winning any tournaments with that loss. -

Those permits are why angler responsibility end at your weight in, most tournament. Now the classics where we put them back into livewell and transport them to Memorial Park in Peterbourgh are a little grey area because I remember the legality's being talked about and the 10 boats where under the permit. And the permit is to posses more than a limit. Even in a live release boat the operators might have 100's of fish. -

Bassmasters doesn't have on site weight they do have a person look in livewells so they can coordinate the weight in show. The last few years they bring the leader up on hot seat and weight fisherman 9-2 much more realistic. In most tournaments the anglers are responsible for the fish until the are weight in. From that point on, if the angler got no penalty's the promoter has the reasonability. Stopping to refill livewells is common with all bassboats they all lose water. It's just another thing you take into account. I also carried the wife's pee bucket so when I stop pumps on max and manual bucket. Most big water guys have those sponge matts cut so the float on top of livewell water to stop sloshing. What I'm saying is angler will do what ever necessary to get fish in alive. Unfortunately all these little things are learned usually the hard way. My 30 years of tournament fishing I can remember about 5 dead fish penalty's. -

Well I don't have Basmasters Classic experience. I was part of both Bassmania Classics that we trailered to Memorial Park in Peterbourgh. We weight our fish at Bensfort Bridge and then top 10 trailered to arena for the big show. Most boats where provide a Rapala portable air . I always carried one with clips to run off battery's. I was last boat to trailer both years and don't remember being offered the rapala one. So my boat had the recuirc and my Mr Bubbles plus ice and cosser salt. Both years my fish where in good shape but the fish where already weight so my big worry was over. You don't win tournaments with dead fish penalties. -
Almost on weekly bases somebody shows up and says I've not been here in a long time. That means they went to facebook and like listening to drivellers. And now they need information and they go where they can get it.

Fishing in Mississauga and Balsam Lake HELP!
Garnet replied to philosothicc's topic in General Discussion
The Credit will get good in 1.5-2 months when the salmon run. Balsam is inside weedline lake for numbers. The parks side not the best. Straight across and use top water poppers ,jerkbaits.- 16 replies

The dealers have lost there morals. The game was hook them for life and they always have customers. Now not so much.

One thing you could look at is other stocks that are $70 on the same exchange and what there up side is. If Trump doesn't get re-elected the markets will crash. Everything Trump did failed business didn't come back to the U.S they went to Cambodia,Vietnam . And Canada is stuck in the middle of China /U.S. and likely will have a down turn or even a recession. For me it's a time to gather money. When the ugly shows up buy the best.

The set up is 50 braid most times 1/6 worm weight likely tungsten but will switch to lead if pike are snapping. This is my marginal cover swimbait, I could swim a pitching jig or spinnerbait , possible chatterbait. The fish are telling me. The senko mostly pink or white.
-
The pickerel I assume is a walleye. They will charge up to top water and hesitate then chop it. Did you see the bass where there mouth closed when they smacked at it. The best anglers only get a 60% hook up. and like others I avoid them in tournaments. My cover water bait is 1/6 T rig senko or swim jig.

I retired from the bigger Crappie/Perch Tourneys after the 1st year and only fished clubys. Because all that 1st year I ate no crappie and only fall perch. When my club Port Perry Bassmasters started crappie/perch tourneys I pushed the weight your 15 and keep your eaters. O I was Pres. NGTA has a big open perch tourney think guaranteed money also keep your eaters.
-
The 60Hp and under series had the 1st crappie tournament I'm aware of on Percy Boom. I won it seems to me it was 2K for 20 crappie. Then they had Simcoe Perch/Crappie I was 3rd. Then Rice think I was 8th witch was huge disappointment. Lots of the bass clubs have perch and crappie tournaments my Port Perry club had both for about 12 years you weight your 15 and can keep your eaters. I can only guess that I won 8-10 so each likely paid 4-500. And really good perch/crappie anglers.

I've won many perch tournaments usually takes 15 big perch or crappie never on live bait.

The current is just ripping on the Otanabee . So the current is confining the fish to small areas and you would be asking a ton from bass to hit top water in this current. Out on the lake the pond weed is dyeing off so the fish are on the move.
-
you are in trouble Rice and Otanabee very good bass
-
The best fish will own the best areas. The bait you use will be secondary to finding the right area. And the area will repeat.

If your finder is fused threw your boat fuse box is bad.
-
I would start with cleaning your battery post and all your connections. Make them shiny and dielectric grease on all. Then what size wire for your fish finder. Most finder problems are bad install. A good install will be 6 gauge wire to a buse under your dash then your finder.

if i'm taking bags of plastic over to the window you need to turn some lights on. Your hydro savings is costing sales. -

Court not necessary. Make appointment with justice of piece. Have jacket with you or picture's. Stress that you where falling the law and was given a ticket on a technicality. Ticket will likely be tossed.

You don't have a boat so what are you using this unit for. Electronics is very competitive market there are really no deals. If hummingbird has big sell off they changing the product and the new one will be much better. Same for Lowrance. So ID needs. Funny story took buddy to Angler Outfitters intro to Monty Lowrance guru . Buddy said can't decide on 7 or 9. Monty pressed power 7 and the 9. Decision made.

Most boat latch are TH Marine, they are a large distributor. Any marina can order from them not sure about private guys. I think Pro J tackle are a TH Marine dealer
