Well let's see, we're not married and I for sure am the better half , but we do fish together at times. Most of my fishing is done with Beans though as Steve's and my schedules rarely work out for a day of fishing together. I like to go out with him though as it's the only way I can get out onto Georgian Bay, and of course he's the one with the boat so he's not all bad maureen

Thanks Lew, I have two in my house and I know they work when my nephew cooks . but you're definitely right about changing the batteries every 6 months, thanks for the reminder. Charlesn I personally would not use wired in detectors without back ups...unless they have a battery back up if the power goes out. Maureen

I'm here and safe, actually I didn't go home tonight. Thankfully with my nephew there I didn't have to make the drive so I am staying at my aunts house up the road from my work. Thanks for thinking of me though. My boyfriend was on his way to work and got stuck southbound between 88 and 89 just after it all happened. He called me at 5 and had already been sitting for 2 1/2 hrs, he suggested I stay in the city. My friend also called to suggest the same thing. First time in 5 years living north of T.O. that I didn't make it home...don't think I like it much other than my aunt has highspeed Hope everyone else is safe...time for a roll call from the northern group??? Still waiting for the lady from the times to e-mail me what she had. Come to think of it I will check with a friend of mine who lives in Bradford. I did a round trip to Oshawa and back today, left here at 6am. Roads were wet but good going all the way both ways, suns shining here and you wouldn't know I had 5 or so inches of snow and ice pellets last night. Maureen

Power's good up here, but if it goes I'm ok, happens usually twice a year around these parts. I use a wood stove, so I still have heat, and can cook, lot's of battery operated lights. There are apparently several areas in T.O. that are out due to downed lined. Be careful everyone. Maureen
