As far as I know if you are handling any part of the rod you need a license. Just stop at any CT and you can pick one up. I hope this helps and get that boy out fishing

You can call the border ahead of time and they can set you up with the prices, paperwork, etc..... That's what I did when I bought a boat over in the states
