Lol looks like what I was doing today in a harbor on Lake Huron. Crazy feeling ice fishing 100 m away from raging open water. The ice near the open water was actually rolling with the waves.

I've never put one in the boat. I've also been scared to try, I heard its like cocaine.....

Take regular outdoor, ( not the green stuff it will eat your boat) plywood, screw (stainless screws) and glue 2 pices together if you need the thickness, coat with epoxy .paint anything that will get hit with uv rays. It will outlast the rest of the boat.

Headed down at the the end of April with a bunch of people. We're looking to charter two boats for a day there's about 15 of us that want to get out. . Anyone have some first hand recommendations? Will also be taking some surf fishing gear, and spinning setup for fishing from shore.

The reccord is swimming in simcoe. If defiantly seen some bigger than 4.3 Dow the hole when the school swims by.

Lots of ice I was out before New Years on 8 inches of ice.

Get the cat as hot as you can and leave it idling in the parking lot., remove the air filter, and bring a spare gas cap with you.. There going to tell you yours is bad.

Fish above the schoolfor the larger ones...I find it helps allot.

Last year I was out on some early simcoe ice with my Cuban brother in law we were spudding our way out on 4 inches of ice of maple view rd. I hit the ice with my spud about a mile from shore and the ice went BOOM CRACKLE CRACKLE and the crack took of towards bbp. You could hear it traveling for a mile. I felt like Poseidon and he was very concerned. One I will never forget.

Hey Tyler's mom, if it runs out to be unreadable to hold it at ibp. Why not just have it on the ice down in gillford? Hope all goes well.
