An air stapler is the cats meow for soffit. I use it alot at work for soffit and it works great. Keep that in mind for next time if you have a compressor and air stapler available. Glad to see you got it done Mike! TDunn

I'd be going to a lake trout lake on either slave, great bear or athabasca. Many of my friends have guided Here on Athabasca. Ive seen the pictures and videos and its definitly once in a lifetime....Any of the trophy lake trout lakes are....Plus huge pike and grayling as mentioned above! TDunn

The best bite lasts until the chinooks show up in august but they are present in the river year round. You can catch them right until the boat goes away..... TDunn

Well, we decided to get back out on the river this evening in search of some atlantics. On the water by 6:30 and on the first pass the rigger right in front of me doubles over. I set the hook and hand it off to Mike at the front of the boat. 10 minutes later he lands this beauty. We reset the lines but can't seem to hook up for the next half hour or so. We decide to go try a few different spots on the american side with soft jerkbaits rather than trolling. First drift we witness a fierce feeding frenzy and reposition just above for a cast. All three of us cast and I am lucky enough to hook up with another good fish. A drift or two later, I get a follow and then quickly pitch the plastic out again and hook up with another chromer. The next several drifts results in no fish but we do get a few follows and hits keeping us on our toes. Soon enough, Ted hooks up with what is the biggest fish of the evening coming in at just under 31 inches. We had planned on staying for walleye but we had to pull the pin due to being low on fuel. Ah well, back at it in a day or two! All fish released. I hope you enjoyed! TDunn

About 8-9 hours... Ya actually when I first started fishing walleye in the river, I used taildancers. Great Lure! Anders... According to bounty fishing the biggest fish was 27.96 Walleye on Bounty The fish are always thick so I'd put it around 8ish. Its really hard to say. TDunn

Its "game on" in the river until it gets to cold to fish really. The smelts are in heavy so the fishing will depend on weather now. Peak season is still a few weeks away..... TDunn

My fishing has been limited on the St Marys River this year so far. The past 2 weeks I have been finally getting downtown after work. Trips havent lasted much longer than an hour, here and there for either whities off the pier or walleyes along the shoreline. By the looks of things this summer, it could be a banner year this year on the river. Large husky jerks (HJ14) in silver/black, ghost and firetiger have been the best producing colours for me. Many of my outings have been solo but a few times Ive enjoyed having some company! Lastnight we had planned to be on the water around 6pm but never actually launched until 8:30. With daylight limited we had to make a decision of where and how to fish for Atlantics. We quickly decided to try American waters and do a pass with the riggers before we would begin casting. 10 minutes into the first pass a rod goes off and teds into the first fish of the evening which ends up being the thickest atlantic, Ive seen this year. We quickly get the rod down and begin the same pass....10 minutes later in the exact same spot, another rod goes and its my turn. The line is screaming out and I say to ted "yup, its another good one man" only to then feel the rod go limp......Sometimes theres just nothing you can do about it.... Again we reset the rods and the next pass producing nothing so we decided to pull the rods up and do a few drifts casting soft jerkbaits. This is where ted put me in my spot hooking 3 and landing 2 more atlantics while I didn't even get a follow He was pretty excited and I didnt mind playing netman at all! We ended staying and trying for walleye after dark but came up empty handed and decied to pack it in for the night. Fishing has been very consistant for all species in the river so far this year. Since work has slowed back down to a normal pace, I am very excited to get back out on the river on a regular basis and hopefully post some more reports soon! Hope you enjoyed, TDunn

10 pounds and up is big....should be a lot of fish pushing 12-15 this year... Heading out in a few hours for some! TDunn

Try for some atlantics! If your up for a bit of driving, LSPP would be the place for your canoe. Although there are many other places you can go to that are much closer. Im sure the Dr will point you in the right direction. PM if you want anymore advice... TDunn
