  8. I agree with Rick that rates will go down soon to control the dollar. Even when Dodge said that it was over valued as a verbal slip it dropped 1.5 cents prior to the opening of trade.
  9. Sorry have to work. Drop by FW on Barton ST E if you have a chance.
  10. Hope the record gets broken and goodluck to all anglers.
  11. They work great weightless on a Phenix 4/0 30 degree bend hook with a hitch hiker on the eye. They also work well with the weighted version when doing deeper weedlines.
  12. Cooks will be your better choice for bigger fish.
  13. Great report and pics. The seasons are a little behind still so give it a few more weeks and some of the big eyes will be feeding up.
  14. Check my post on the Simcoe outing and it shows some great artificials for perch.
  15. The Calcutta or the new Curado 300 would be great choices.
  16. Went up Simcoe on Wednesday and we had a great day out on the water. Winds in the morning were light with overcast skies. As usual there was a larger group of boats all together out from Pefferlaw. We drove out and dropped lines when we found marks on the sonar way away from the crowd on our own. The bite was steady from 8:30am - 2:30pm. We caught well over 200 fish and found a large group of jumbo's. The best lures were the FinS minnow, Phenix mini tubes, Wahoo jigs with Berkley Power Bait minnows. Drop shotting on 4lb floro with a single hook with a 3/16oz Phenix weight was the ticket for the day. I used a new Shimano Sojourn 5"6" Ultralight rod for the trip and this rod was great for perching. Here are some pics from the day: Lures for the day: Good size Jumbo's Great end to the day:
  17. Bill ant of the rock shorelines and deeper rock piles mid lake and islands on the map should hold some quality fish this time of year. Going out of Beaverton area is probaly best or out of Orillia then if its too windy you can always fish Couch.
  18. Take the rod back to CTC. They have a one year warranty from the manufacturer.
  19. Great report and pics. Glad you found a nice hat.
  20. Have a great weekend MO. It was chilly down here also, fall is on the way big time with also some big fish.
  21. The fishing on Rice has been pretty good lately and the dark water is just the start of great fall fishing. Looks like you had a great time.
  22. Just wishing all the members a great Thanksgiving. It truly is a time to reflect and be thankful for all the special people in our lives who have been such great help and support over the years. Also try to remember those who are not with us anymore but were special people when they were in our lives.
