I like using braid for most of my presentations. For flipping its 30lb FINS PRT, plastic frogs over the pads 50lb FINS PRT, and my spinning outfits have 15lb FINS with a Berkley Vanish floro leader in 10lb. I have had good success with these weights and as Charles said alot of confidence in the set ups.

March 2 is a year that my mom passed away. Many of you know how close I was to her and this week has been a very emotional week filled with tears. Friday the 2nd is going to be very hard for myself and family. If you could just give a quick thought to a great lady, best friend, Nan, wife and mother. She is sadly missed and treasured by all of us. Thanks Blake

Check out the new Shimano tackle bags. Rain and waterproof. These will also float if dropped overboard with up to 40lbs of tackle or gear in them. Finally a bag that is truly waterproof, easy to clean and floats.

I would look at the Shimano Compre Muskie rods. They have a great selection with a lifetime warranty. For the reels the new Shimano Curado300 is just incredible. The testing done on this reel was amazing. Saw the video footage at the fishing show and was amazed at what these reels can do and take. For your budget it would be a great combo.

I have both types. One is a mustang belt manual PFD that goes around your waist. It is great because you can wear it all the time and it doesn't hinder you at all. I also have the automatic Nautilus for when I am fishing alone. The extra cash spent on an Auto was well worth the chance of being knocked out and dead.
