  1. Exactly!!! No need to replace your canoe, just add a 30# electric and a motor mount.
  2. For a multi day off grid situation you will do best if you pick up a 1000 watt generator that you can run to recharge the TM battery(s) at the end of the day.
  3. They will be where the bait is. The bows will be hanging around the river mouths getting ready to run but the brownies can be found all along the shoreline where the bait are in getting ready to spawn.
  4. Pretty amazing how powerful a little wave can be. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zgt8qBSZEn0
  5. I have been using Olympus Stylus cameras for close to 10 years for recording my fishing trips. They have been dropped, kicked, submerged and used at -40 without issue. As far as I know the Fuji's are very similar. I picked up my last Olympus off Olympus direct through their ebay store. They sell off refurbed units (with warranty and free shipping) and the savings are really good. I don't see them having any up right now but another retailer cybershops has a bunch up with $10 shipping.
  6. I used to when I lived in Ontario. Planer boards and jointed rapalas took the majority of my fish.
  7. Yeah, that's pretty surprising. Their markup's are nearly double that of Crestliner's and Yamaha's. On a positive note, there's a lot of wiggle room to bargain with them and hammer out a decent price. :thumbsup_anim:

  9. Pretty simple to figure out. Set up your boat trailer level and back your truck up to it and figure out the amount of drop you need. Pretty hard for us to tell you if we don't have exactly the same set up. For my Honda Pilot and 18' Fishcer I needed a 2" drop to be level.

  11. Here you go. Brand new replacement windshield for Lunds and every other boat ever made. :tease: Replacement Windshield
  12. Last year I had to send in my LX-5 for an issue and also had great service from them. :good:
  13. I've had good luck with CLR, especially on the lower unit of my OB.
  14. Uhhhhh, they aren't aluminum.
  15. FYI Sleep apnea is a condition where you stop bretheing whil asleep. Narcolepsy is a condition where you fall asleep without warning.
  16. The problem with towing with a car is most are now front wheel drive and you could have issues on steeper ramps. Smaller vehicles also have smaller engines with less torque to get you going from a stop. Brakes can be another issue. That all said I have had friends tow with VW diesels and had no issues at all. One friend routinely towed with a diesel Jetta and I was amazed at how well it did. Your boat really doesn't weigh all that much but it would be too much for most small vehicles as most of the smaller vehicles have a 1000# tow rating if they have one at all. If you really wanted to be safe I would go for a compact pickup (Ford Ranger, Mazda, Toyota, etc)a compact suv (Ford Escape, or similar) or minivan. I would also get a V6 as a little 4 banger would have to work too hard. When I was between trucks I did move my 18' aluminum w/90 OB around with my Honda Civic but I would never take it on the roads or try to launch with it. I just moved it from one parking area to another on my lot.
  17. This video is pretty wild. Amazing to see how fast the waters rise and the power. http://www.facebook.com/?sk=lf#!/video/video.php?v=1605260179420&comments
  18. I can't figure out that part either. I have the same issue with swollen batteries.
  19. I have a gaggle of those rods too and have also been using them for about the same amount of time.
  20. They didn't do it last year either. When they have had it in the past it has been at the same time as down South which was awesome as we could use the new goodies right away.
