  1. Until the day you're out and your GPS breaks down in the fog.
  2. Here is my guage setup (I get to recycle this pic yet again ) Speedo, volts, fuel, Rpm The speedo and Rpm guages will be replaced with Merc Smartcraft guages when I repower the boat in a couple of years.
  3. I have an Icom IC-M304. Great little radio and will integrate with an onboard GPS to broadcast your location during an emergency. Keep in mind that the cheper models don't have this feature. One of the main reaons I purchased this model was it's tiny size. I wanted to flush mount it in my console to keep the area neat and tidy. Icom IC-M304 A couple of shots with it mounted in the boat to get an idea of it's size. Front Back Mounted in the boat

  9. My boat has a 90hp Merc (same vintage 91) that has been very good over the 20 years I have owned it. The only real things I have had issues with are an oil sensor in the oil resevoir died. The only service over the years has been lower unit oil changes and ne plugs and fuel filter. I have had issues with my controls lately (a bad wire somewhere) and I plan to replace the controls, but I'm trying to hold off until I can afford the new 115 four stroke to attach them to.
  10. Saw them perform live here in Yellowknife on their last tour. I was quite impressed with Jack's musical abilities. It was a great show. :thumbsup_anim:
  11. It can be rough on those smaller tiller boats due to their lower weight handling. You put the motor, gas can and a person right in the back they are going to want to run nose high until you are on plane. That all goes away with a larger boat. I ran 16, 17 and 18 foot tillers on Great Bear and never had those issues (even when running alone with my fat a 30 hp OB and 15 gallons of gas under the back seat). My first boat a little 12' tinny and 5 1/2 Johnson would ride nose high and I'm pretty sure my 8' inflatable with 4 hp Merc will probably ride nose high, but I won't know until late May or early June when I get a chance to run her for the first time.

  17. When I lived in Ontario I had my boat insurance through Meadowvales Insurance Brokers in Meadowvale. The company they had me with was great and my boat was insured for full replacement cost for about $300/year.
  18. It's sping up in the far North. :thumbsup_anim: I can tell because my retina's are sunburnt!!!!
  19. Walk into LeBarons with your reciept and exchange or refund. Probably cost way less than $30.
