  1. I'd smile too! Nice fish man!!!
  2. I had no idea those fish got to that size. Incredible! Congrats to the lucky angler!!!
  3. Nice fish indeed! Next weekend for sure! I have to check out a job in Shanty Bay, so the boat will be right behind. The bonus is, after this weekend, I'm set to pick up a float suit. Something thats always been on my mind. Congrats again, the weather gods were sure on your side! 8.05???Can someone start a thread with a pic of that beast?
  4. Good to see you got into some fish Cudz! Like Johnny said, nothing like the pull of some late season bronze! Be seeing you soon!
  5. Thanks man! I always flip over to see if theres a preview on, only to be dissapointed. Now however...
  6. 12lb mono. I like Rapala tough and Trilene xh. Whichever I pick up at the beginning of the year. I've been switching up between these two since I can remember. Knot strength is great, you can fish it in rocks, wood, open water, heavy cover is not a worry to me. The set-up you're running sounds appropriate. Sensitivity and appearance of the line are moot points spinnerbait fishing.
  7. Maybe it was asked in another thread, but, what camera are you shooting with? Those are some great quality shots! Good to see you got into some fish at the very least!
  8. Those are awesome shots, looking forward to the full report!
  9. One smart feller, he felt smart. Two smart fellers, they felt smart. Three smart fellers, they felt smart. And so on. Try that one with your kids, they'll think its the funniest thing ever!
  10. For water that doesn't give up those kinds of fish easily, I'd say that you had an incredible weekend! Beauty 'skis man!
  11. I'll third that, Dan! There are certain fish that you can pull up in your mind at the drop of a hat. I'd say that the very first one you hook is the "original" trophy that, in all actuality, hooks you. Thats how it was for me, anyways. I've only ever caught Kawartha muskie from Scugog and Sturgeon, though, and they seem kind of inferior compared to other regions. Still some long fish, don't get me wrong. Just that, like some others mentioned, 'Bog fish are rather lean for their length. Same could be said for the ones I've seen out of Sturgeon.
  12. You must really love her Steve. Alot of guys might've accidentally "bumped" into their wives/gf/fiance, and grabbed that rod while she was swimming... But you didn't. Good onya! Congrats on the new PB to the lucky lady!
  13. I see a new Avatar in your future... Congrats!
  14. Wow. Thats a gorgeous head, I mean Pike! Awesome looking fish man. Out of 5fow no less...
  15. You guys look pretty aerodynamic without the dirtsticks...Do you find the boat's going any faster? Nice largie Cudz! Good to see you got the day turned around!
  16. Don't you hate it when you're in the middle of a heat wave and you think to yourself" I hope this weather holds through the weekend" and BLAMMO! Weather breaks just in time for the weekend. FUDGE!
  17. Riverfisher hit that one out of the park!!! I couldn't even see the fish at first man! LMAO!!!! Congrats on tha Sucka record!
  18. Great looking fish. I'd probably be happier for you if you were happier for you. So, Meh.
  19. Not trying to monger any fear, smally. My problem happened after maybe 1/2hr of cycling the engine. Had just filled a full tank of gas in town. There were no other problems after the fuel issue was diagnosed.
  20. I've been using a stabilizer for years now. Had my outboard go manic while out on the Bog during the Carp die off. Took it to a local guy who showed me the fuel which had separated after agitation. Not a good thing. He suggested the Stabilizer and mid-grade fuel. I haven't had a problem since. Recommended to all. And it didn't cost that much, thankfully!
  21. Thanks Terry, don't know what I did there EDIT: fixed. Was the old double http// trick...
  22. After reading some comments about the abundance of oil in the Dalton thread, I was going to post this, but didn't want to derail what was going on there. This is a lecture, so don't expect too much fanfare. Here is part 1 of 8 and is a little time intensive for the entire set. But for those that are interested, have a peek. It may change your ideas about abundance and the way we are led to believe that growth and consumption rates can continue forever. Parts 2-8 can be found in the same place.
  23. With the emerging oil demands in the East on top of our own dependance, the scarcity of oil will become apparent sooner than later. To say that there is gargantuan deposits of oil on the earth is farfetched to say the least, and exactly what big oil and the car manufacturers want you to think. Oil will run out.
  24. Nice fish! Gotta love the pattern on the hybrids. Congrats on a great looking catch!
  25. Guess that sets up a third? Great job Shogun!
