  1. These things are like bloody aliens or ghosts. Lots of sightings, but nobody can get a good picture or video. It's disappointing that's the best picture she got with an opportunity like that.
  2. This thread is soon toast but, Kawartha dam fishing a couple weeks ago, this guy was letting his float drift 30' to his right and right beside my vertical line, and I was there 1st. My blood was boiling, I exploded and yelled "if we get tangled I'm gonna be really pissed off!". Red faced, I look over the other side and see my Dad giggling.
  3. Yes, I'd say it's way too close, big water out there too. Looks like if you had to pee, you could pee over their transom. Very rude, inconsiderate behavior on their part IMO.
  4. It's not broken, it's only slightly flux'd The speedo doesn't work. Leaf springs, no trailing arm, it's lame 250 so not much torque, everything I checked (original post) looked fine. Thickest belt I have in the secondary.
  5. I'm hoping u guys r right, because that's what I was thinking. The belt is worn but so was the belt on all my piece of crap sleds in the last 25 years. any other input is appreciated
  6. Love LeBarons but they get my vote for the worst website. Canada is likely small potatoes in the equation, but If BPS is buying Cabela's, that's likely bad news for us consumers.
  7. Picked up another Bravo long track , 93,last winter, it's been somewhat neglected by it's previous owner. On the snow, under load, it would make an ugly clunk sound and it felt like somewhere along the transmission, skip or slip then hook up again. I brought it home from the cottage, so I could look it over in the shelter of my garage. Everything I thought might be the problem looks fine, cogs, track tension, chain tension, chain gears, jack shaft, motor mounts etc. I have an idea, but would like to hear some people chime in. I miss Bernie being on here more often
  8. Today at work, I could see a few trucks parked and a guy I didn't recognize. I went over and the guy I didn't recognize was a friend who had taken off his hat, he wears a baseball hat everyday, all day. Q107 played the bugle song, it was 11 o'clock, and we all stood there without speaking, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't choked up.
  9. 3rd cast eh, after that you guys probably thought you would catch another 15 for the day. You guys don't toot your own horn but consistently put big fish in the boat.
  10. Anybody else search old topics and come across lots of people you remember, with a couple thousand posts or so to their credit, who have disappeared? If you're reading this dill i gaf, up yours. Good to hear OI is ok.
  11. yeah, simple, but hilarious response, classic!
  12. Any decent ski like that from G Bay or the French is somehow worth about 20 skis from the Kawarthas or Haliburton IMO. I'd rather fish fall skis and get skunked where you guys were than catch a couple on Balsam.
  13. I'm worried you would be a noisy neighbor with your gunshots, chainsaws and snowmobiles
  14. Holy chubby! You guys in farm country or the bush? damn, these reports make me wish I didn't have to work.
  15. This is cool, a baby advice thread may get locked, I like it! Fidel, your rebuttal to Rick and Mike??? Too late, the money is gone. Very generous though, thanks. If anyone reading this is considering a sleep consultant (doula), PM me, I'll just copy and paste you the whole program to you. Someone else mentioned this, and I agree, the parents hire doulas because they get an actual person they can talk to, that will support them and hold their hand through the whole process. Thanks everyone, we (my wife read all this too) learned a lot, but the feeling of being in the same boat and the positive comments are huge.
  16. Thanks everybody. Mike, we did try that without any results. Our pediatrician said that theory isn't true, can't remember his reasoning .I've heard others say it works for them though.
  17. Poured a drink and I read it through. This pic says to me- -I'm gonna be on a high for 2 weeks when I get home thinking about the Fraser River trip. -I don't care if I catch another fish. -God bless the west coast and I might just stay here and not go home at all.
  18. Let's see a pic of the table fare when you can .Damn I would love to live up in some place like yours.
  19. Doesn't look like it will work period. Fish are like people, some are lean, some have a few extra pounds. For length, you can get a tape measure at the dollar store, why monkey around with this?
  20. Breast fed. We give him blended up fruits and vegiies (apple sauce etc) and cereal during the day too. Wayne, 1st kid, lots of milk, we are over sensitive and spoiling for sure. He goes way longer in the day between feedings. Wayne and G, it's a soothing comfort thing at night, he often doesn't take much before falling back to sleep. FnF, yeah, mat leave, she almost has insomnia now. John, that does sound weird but will try anything now. He's not a big soother guy G, never was, we always have one handy though. \/ \/ \/ Thanks Bunk Rick, I'm not young anymore Yeah, I have a feeling we will John, thanks for reinforcing that though, it helps for sure Chad, you just summed up about $500 worth of sleep consultant fees, I owe you a beer.
  21. This is a pretty good book for French River lovers like me. Warning! The images are from a different era and there are guys with smokes in their mouths.
  22. I don't like posting personal, NF issues on here, but I respect the common sense knowledge of the people on here way too much not to ask in this case. 8 month old, perfect health, demeanor, an easy baby I would guess except for the fact he sleeps at night for 1.5 hours, then wakes, nurses, falls asleep nursing, 1.5 hours wakes, nurses repeat.. He doesn't seem tired at all but my wife sure is. We have an expensive sleep consultant now. I've chatted with Rick MB (who I trust) on the topic. Any input appreciated.
  23. You can"t beat live meat, especially this time of year. The hoity toity center pin heads are likely going to sneer at you, if so, screw them it's your river too
  24. I skimmed this for 20 minutes, I'll give it the full read when I can I love the west coast, I love the fall season and it would be easy to love those giant sturgees, yeah, another epic one Bunk. I'm guessing those monster dinosaurs remain weirdly docile after landed, some thrashing could easily result in a swim or a broken nose???
