I don't think so. I love Marner and his skill and creativity but a lot of his 94 pts are a result of his line mates. Hyman is an unsung hero and JT potted 47 last year. Defensively AM is far better than Marner.

Nice Andrew! and Miniss, the end of August, very nice

bummer, those guys should be at least a little grateful to the fans, he could probably walk around NJ and nobody would recognize him I had the same reaction at BPS in Vaughan years ago when I turned around in line at the cash to see who was yammering behind me, "hey, you're Randy Carlyle" just seemed to pop out of my mouth, lol

yeah, better weather in Raleigh, nobody really gives a crap, Gardiner can just punch the clock and cash his paycheck, lol what's with these kids, Marner, Laine, Rantanen, Point etc, ? Did Nylander set a precedent? I wouldn't mind seeing all of them sit and twiddle their thumbs for a season and loose $8M or whatever

fine wine and caviar, an Albany River adventure
chris.brock replied to chris.brock's topic in General Discussion
Kewley found that. It was a top of the best campsite around. I don't know how they set it in the rock. It was a Canadian Topographic survey from 1958. Whatever metal they used, it has withstood the elements and was in good condition. -
Black bear encounter leads to sudden death
chris.brock replied to FishFishing's topic in General Discussion
The story mentions she went to check on her dogs. I wouldn't be surprised if the dogs were a factor in aggravating the bear or bears. Sad news regardless. -

Bob really pissed me off just another one of the unique characters you encounter when venturing that far north I guess -

they can't use a Cessna 180, they took a Twin Otter, typical gov't wastefulness ?

that's interesting and makes sense the same block could have a bigger pistons and bigger displacement kinda interesting too, the new Suzukis the 9.9, 15 and 20 are all the same block, same bore and stroke, 327cc, and they all weigh the same

bull crap O'Leary's wife was driving the boat, I hope he gets what he deserves and can't buy his way out of it 2 people are now dead, very sad and tragic

It seems like it's shrouded in secrecy who tohatsu makes engines for, you can do all the googling you want and never figure it out, you've gotta have the engines side by side and pull the cowls off and take a look to figure it out any brand can be great or be a lemon, but I've had good luck with Yamaha over the last 40 years, I just had a brand new merc cause us grief at a remote outpost last week, that seems pretty typical from what I've experienced with merc over the years

Did you buy that boat from an ofc member and is it on a Sylvan Striker? Lol. If yes, damn I miss that thing and I wish I had kept it and never sold it. -

I knew a girl, she was in her 20's, her MS was very bad, the only way she could somewhat function was with a little puff, no other drugs would help her, and this is long before weed was medically prescribed or recognized for treatment

Kayak Fishing on Mountsberg Reservoir for Pike (Video)
chris.brock replied to popofish!'s topic in General Discussion
slick video, well done, but yeah, it might have been better to not mention the location -
Congrats on the little guy last year Don. Crazy average size on those lakers. I didn't know lakes like that still existed that close to an urban center. The picture of your buddy reflected in the water with the laker below is awesome.

just to add to my comment about Chinese buying up all the houses around me- yes house prices are being driven higher but they're good neighbors, I live near a college, I remember all the headaches we gave families around my university, the keg parties, the noise, the garbage strewn around, it was a disaster, there's none of that here

I would guess the explosion that is happening is because the new drugs are easily available, very powerful and euphoric and highly addictive and this is overriding the fact that they are extremely dangerous, so people are taking them and dying. I still think that someone who wants to work, have a little house and a family etc will do so despite where they live. They may have to move and it will take some work, but it's attainable for people who strive for that. People predisposed to addiction will get in trouble regardless of where they live or their circumstances in life. It's impossible to eliminate the demand by making sure everyone has a high standard and quality of life. That sounds like communism. People have to have the initiative to better themselves. I think the house prices got screwed up with foreign investment and immigration. Every house that sells in my neighborhood the last 3 years is bought by Chinese and the prices are very high. The gov't is good at helping everybody else except Canadians. My son is 4 years old. The house prices, economy, manufacturing, discrimination against white Canadians all looks crap. What's his future going to hold when he's ready to hit the workforce in 20 years or so? It's messed up.

I've done zero research, but I don't think there is a correlation. I think if someone wants to work they will find work. I do think some people have a predisposition and are susceptible to addiction regardless of where they live. edit- we posted at the same time, I guess we don't agree on this one bigugli, lol
