  4. I am hosting a 1hr kids fishing seminar next weekend @ my park - Red Eagle. It is a good bass & pike lake with a few lakers. I don't want to over whelm them so what topics do you think I should cover? I was thinking of buying them a bunch of Senko's & Gammy hooks & flouro leader as a give away... Comments appreciated. Cheers, Ted

  9. The real concern I have now that they are getting my hard tax dollars (against my wishes), how do we get it back? Who in their right mind is going to buy a GM vehicle when you know their demise is inevitable and getting parts & service is only going to worse and more expensive...sure buy Canadian but from someone that at least has a future. And don't get me started on the $3,000,000,000 for their pension when most Canadians don't even have one! They should have liquidated and let a NEW company buy the assets and build Canadian cars that we WANT to buy. Free markets do work, socialism sucks...
  10. Shimno has an outsourced repair depot in a little strip mall near by. I forget the place but they will direct you. The guy does good work, excellent customer service.
  11. I feel so sad, it hurts....

  14. Contact Bayliner. They used to make a contoured Aluminum bracket for the Bow. I have one on my 2000 model 1804 Fish n' Ski. Cheers Ted
  15. Lots of debate but here is what is considered "best practice": 1) srtrip 1-2 inches of clean (un-oxidized) wire. 2) slide a piece of 3-4 inch heat shrink over one of the wires. Well back from joint so it doesn't shrink during soldering. 2) use western union splice for mechanical strength 3) heat joint with a small dab of solder applied to soldering iron tip 4) using rosin core solder applied to joint, NOT the tip of the soldering iron. The heated wire should do the melting of the solder which causes it to flow through joint towards soldering iron tip, ensure entire joint has coat of bright/shiny solder after cooling 5) coat with liquid tape 6) slide heat shrink so that it is centered over joint and heat to shrink tight This is the most reliable long term method. Cheers, Ted
  16. Awesome! Pick up a piece of wire loom to tidy up the cables and still have easy access. Very impressive!

  21. The trick is to catch the stolen gun before it's used in a crime. A registered (documented) item (gun, etc..) has a greater chance of recovery then an undocumented item. I am not trying start a debate that can't go anywhere but bad. This is just my humble opinion, and I do respect your counter opinion. Thx, Ted
  22. I've fished the lower French for many years (friends cottage in Hartley bay). It is tough because it changes a lot. Best advice is hire a guide ... we used to use Johny Green. It can save the trip from being skunk fest...
  23. Sorry to go against the grain but as bad as this program is if it even saves one life (e.g. stolen gun recovered), I believe in a registry. I know bad guys don't register guns but they do steal them from honest folks who maybe will now take just a little extra care to secure them. I just wish government would find a better way then wasting the billions they have - that's bad government. BTW I do enjoy shooting as much as the most of you.
  24. My next motor will have cable steer, I find the electric steer is to not quick enough. I do like using the copilot though...
