  1. I agree Blizz. Love the game and I love TSN's presentation of it. Unfortunately, because TSN( Bell Media )has the CFL as an exclusive, Sportsnet stations( Rodgers )don't report on the league at all anymore and I think that harms the league by limiting it's exposure.
  2. The Hamilton-Ottawa game last Sunday was one of the best games I've ever seen! And I'm a Cats fan!!! Didn't like the outcome, obviously, but pretty amazed at the performance of the Ti-Cats and their 4th string quarterback! Masoli took the Cats to a near victory until Ottawa's hail Mary with 2 minutes left in the game. Oskee Boo Hoo hoo...
  3. What a FANTASTIC read! I think my interest in NASCAR started fading in accordance with the timeline in the article too. Not only does the fact that all the cars look the same now bother me, but the network broadcasts no longer refer to the vehicles by former names like; 'The Tide Ride' or 'Dupont Chev' or 'Kellogs Car.' Now it's just the #23 or #44 or whatever. The cars had as much personality as the drivers, but network executives didn't want the vehicles getting 'free' sponsor mentions. One more way the sport became more 'generic' every time they try and make it 'better.'
  4. Roland Martin has a marina and guides on the lake( Actually, I think his wife runs it ). I saw it on a fishing episode on WFN. Looks pretty cool and may be worth a phone call, at least.
  5. Hey, you could always go and spoil your ballot. 'Course that would make you an idiot. lol
  6. My cousin has a skunk problem at his place and he dunked a few rags in Javex then placed 'em in the trench the skunk was using as his home. Skunk problem solved!
  7. "If ya ain't cheatin', ya ain't tryin'!" - NASCAR -
  8. Well, that's some darn nice work by the group John. Thank you for that info. Shore angling spots are tougher and tougher to come by, and urban fishing locations seem to be going the way of the dodo. Nasty to just post no fishing signs with absolutely no authority! So good work by TUFA.
  9. Niagara Outdoor Show is another one, James. Just one day last year( Sunday ), in the middle of March.
  10. Ah Ha! See! You have to get up pretty early in the morning to put one over on the OFC'rs
  11. Wow! I know wild goldfish can live quite comfortably in ponds and lakes but I would never have thought at 80 foot depths. And chasing down a bait trolled at speed? I dunno.. it sounds like a stretch.
  12. I'm not a boater so excuse my ignorance on this topic, but whould an unattended marker like that pose a naivation hazzard in anyway?
  13. Yup, definately just a joke. No worries Brian. It's not the first time someone didn't think I was funny! lol
  14. No. In a Communist State, everyone is equal. And some are more equal than others. lol
  15. I haven't fished the lake for over 10 years, but when I did, we'd motor over to any windblown shoreline and cast jigs for walleye. I remember we'd catch nice eater size walleye and smallies. Twister-tail grubs w/minnows were the tickets for both species, jigging along the bottom as well as casting and retrieving. Simple.
  16. Went to see women's soccer last night in the Hammer. Pleasantly surprised to find that the ticket price included two games! At 5:30 we saw Brazil decimate Ecuador and at 9:30 Canada played Costa Rica( and unfortunately lost ). Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It's was a great evening and the staff and volunteers were very organized and accomodating, getting us to the stadium and through the concorse and to our seats. Really surprised at how friendly and professional everyone was. The Tiger-Cats could learn a few things about the fan game experience from this crew.
  17. I remeber mowing my lawn one day and rolling over one of their underground nests. Two of the buggers came out and stung me on each leg. Painful and all these red blotches started breaking out on my body. Anyhoo, I have no idea how I could have handled an attack of that many, Lew. Pain must have been excruciating!
  18. I'm gonna catch some soccer here in Hamilton. Looking forward to it.
  19. That's pretty cool, Rodbender. I wonder if I ever watched your Dad play. I used to watch Pro Lacrosse when I was a kid at that time. It used to be televised, but I think the name of the team was the Toronto Shooting Stars, not the Tomahawks.
  20. Not only does he catch the fish of a lifetime, but gets his picture and story in the paper. What a day!
  21. What great pics and report! Just look at the orange flesh of those brookies in the pan! mmmmmmmm What a way to cap off your adventure with your Uncle!
  22. Ya, look at you hold 'er up like you catch 'em all the time. Nice bucket N.A.W!
  23. Nice fatty there Jimmy. And great that you're able to bring your whole dang gag with ya! lol
