What porkpie said. Get a nice tent and you'll be just as happy. Maybe moreso.

The crickets are deafening......

You can't win... If commodities are up the cost of aluminum (or whatever) makes them expensive. If commodities are down, our dollar goes with it.....and everything's more expensive.

That's VERY cool. If anyone wants to see a one (albeit in captivity), they have/had one at Mountsberg Conservation Area just west of Campbellville (along with several owls, eagles, hawks, etc).

Cliff - I'm pretty sure their low test doesn't have ethanol either. At least my local one didn't a year or two ago.

You guys are missing out. I love going to the movies.

The attrition part came after the fact, when the tough guy part backfired on him. If Hudak hadn't done that, I think he would've easily won. Stole defeat from the jaws of victory. -
That's funny. (and a bit crazy if it was truly in response to your post on here).

What Lew said. I had a pair lasts summer that had the sole come apart in a month of light use. They were garbage. Not cheap either.

Has she got her heart set on destroying this province?

The way I see it.....bankable sick days was likely used as currency in past negotiations that teachers got in lieu of something else. If that's the case, then it's unfair to criticize them and VERY unfair to take them away if they were bargained for and granted in past years. I think the gov pulled a fast one with that whole fiasco. They're doing the same to doctors now. -
On a more important note, you folks who aren't familiar with "Margie" need to see Fargo. It's an all time classic movie.

Come on Dutch......half of the election was focused on whether Trudeau knew these costs or was just guessing at the #s. It's more than fair to criticize him for it. Let's not forget that THIS is the guy who was emphatic about his #s (start watching at 7 mins) - http://atlantic.ctvnews.ca/video?clipId=708807 Edited to add -- he had his heart in the right place though. I'd rather have that than the alternative.

Anyone notice the Ontario deficit came in 1B less than predicted..........because of the Hydro One IPO? I thought the proceeds from that were going to future infrastructure/transit investments, not today's operating costs? Another bait and switch? -
I'm sure the positive resonated more than the negative, but I think a lot of it just came down to people hating Harper.

Guelph businessman funds 50 Syrian refugee families Jim Estill Rob O'Flanagan,Mercury staffGuelph entrepreneur Jim Estill is donating money to sponsor 50 Syrian refugee families expected to begin arriving in Guelph over the next two months. His financial sponsorship could reach $1.5 million. Guelph Mercury By Rob O'Flanagan GUELPH — A major effort is underway to bring 50 Syrian refugee families to Guelph in the coming weeks, a community-wide operation involving several faith groups, businesses, and social agencies. The entire effort is being backed financially by one Guelph entrepreneur. Jim Estill, president and chief executive officer of Danby, is donating the cash to support those 50 families in their first year of settlement. Sponsors of Syrian refugee families are required to have $25,000 to $30,000 per family ready to provide life essentials for an entire year. By this formula, Estill's donation could total $1.5 million. He confirmed his sponsorship on Tuesday, and said that supporting Syrian refugees is simply the right thing to do. "This is not pure charity," Estill said in a telephone interview. "You are not just giving people money. You're setting them up to have a life."
