  1. I hate em!! Seems to be a bunch of them this year so watch your four legged buddies. My pup got smoked by one today, I pulled half the quills on site and the vet sedated him and pulled the rest $$$$. Safe hunting, R
  2. Thanks Brian, That slick little remington is fast as lightning.
  3. Exactly why I mainly stick with the upland hunting LOL. even that gets crazy in spots. Heres a few from today.
  4. While driving around Don't pass up even the most unsuspecting trickle coming from a culvert, especially during periods with zero rain activity, in most cases this equals spring feed water that is just the right temp to hold the brookies you are hunting. Good luck.
  5. PM SENT
  6. This sums it up perfect!!! I had a new one in 2009 and on my first backwoods trip I scratched the crap out of it..... great 57 monthly payments left is all I kept thinking LOL. If you venture of the beaten path don't buy new , get one 6-7yrs old . Rubicon's are worth the extra $$$, as long as you plan on hitting trails and not using it as a grocery getter. I have since sold mine but still miss it.
  7. Wow, nice piece of work!
  8. Thanks, would love to but we're headed North on that day, should be a great day on the water though.
  9. Never been a good poker player, kinda wear my emotions on my face, and I think they read em pretty good. literally laughed in their faces, and asked what they were towing the boat with. After a few min of small talk it was obvious there was no intention to purchase the boat thus no water test. I should have launched right as they were leaving LOL.
  10. Yep all you can do is laugh, I have a funny feeling my face said it all though LOL!
  11. Brutal hey Brian, I think mine just turned into a waterfowl boat!
  12. Kijiji/charter boat ad LOL.... Made arrangements for a viewing of my boat+water test, meet the potential buyer at the town launch to take the boat out for a ride. As I arrive I am greeted by two guys with rods in hand standing around their hitchless honda civivc(wonder how they were taking the rig home) . Quote of the night........"you mind if we fish for awhile??" Now if this deal had been brokered through a board such as this I may of been in, but REALLY who does that LOL. Anyways figured it would be good for a laugh or two R
  13. Great, thanks for the tips, R
  14. Yes the AC shinner's do work well, forgot all about those lol. Thanks
  15. Looking at getting out around Wasaga, not sure of what to expect, depth, distance out in the bay, etc, . Am I better off heading toward Meaford or Thornbury area? Thanks for any tips. R

  19. Sometimes its all about the nostalgia of years past. R
  20. Caution on this stretch, it is among one of the only back roads I have been stranded on more then once due to washouts(damn beavers). Thank god the logging company was there to repair the road after the last one. LOL.
  21. Will be doing that one, plus warrior dash(july 9th) If you like these events, wait until next year when the tougher than mudder event comes to Canada. Designed by the special forces folks. R
  22. Thanks for all the advice,!!!
  23. Hey guys, Any recommended companies??? Or if anyone is in the Insurance game send me a PM. Thanks. My company quoted 300$ a year for a the basics (88 - 16'Lund, 1998 40 hp). Seemed a bit steep. R
  24. Will take ya 10 min max, from IBP, stay away from the crowds and you should have steady hook ups. We got em good today! Good luck!
  25. Had a 2002 SC xterra, head gasket went at 145k, SC(supercharged) only ran on premium fuel. WORST fuel milage I have ever seen in an SUV. Stay away from the S/C models.
