  1. That ice near the open water inflow from 12 Mile gets remarkably thick...freaks me out though. We're Carnarvon area (Bosh) which still has open water...what lake you on?

  5. I go half to two-thirds in the water...I find it almost easier if I'm a little on the shallow side; otherwise the bunks are too deep to guide the boat up on the trailer.

  9. I had a similar problem with a Windstar except it ended up twice with only the right signal working. They also use that electrical system (low side switching) where a computer module grounds the appropriate lamp circuit rather than the traditional way of providing power when needed. The problem is that you can't just splice into the wiring old-school style and need to run a separate circuit with a module for the trailer too. The aftermarket ones in my experience weren't reliable and I eventuall sucked it up and bought the trailer wiring harness from the dealership as they're all wired to that point in the factory. It solved my problems and I agree with fisherman that it's the aftermarket black box.
  10. I had the side plate fall off a 2-week old reel... "splash" ...I was in Haliburton and was heading to Hamilton the next day(where the receipt was); I called and explained the situation and the BPS staff person said if I'd bought it on a credit card to just come in and they'd look up the transaction. I did and she did exactly that, had a new reel brought up to the front and issued me a new receipt for the warranty on the replacement. It was top notch service.
