  1. Sick! well done
  2. nice fish despite the tribulations. Next time Steve.
  3. She sounded like she was from liverpool or Manchester or Further north in England, Maybe Newcastle (I shouldn't guess). Limeyangler would know. I think maybe it is more the shark dogfish than a bowfin. Maybe it is a common name in england for another type of fish
  4. There aren't any in that lake. It is a Muskoka lake, not Lake Muskoka
  5. Oh yes he did. Look closely. It is very weak though. Dirty little caterpillar on his lip. Robby G did not grow one. Said he couldn't because of his job (we think because of his wife)
  6. It is probably a redhorse. If that is the case, it is not close to the record. Either way, it is the biggest sucker I have ever caught.
  7. Popped collar was def a part of the outfit. I just cotinued wearing it when I got back to the cottage and fished with it popped. If you are going to go, go all out. I am not sure if we got every species. I think there may be some bowfin in there.
  8. I asked the crowd what they wanted and pile driver it was. Maybe next time.
  9. I gave him the pile driver!
  10. For the past 3 years I have been at a boys' weekend on a lake in Muskoka for opening day bass. This year was a blast as always. We all went to high school together and despite being 36-38 years old and living in different areas of Ontario, we still manage to get together. There is a Gm of a major retailer, a general contractor, a honda factory worker, an insurance adjuster, a lawyer, a hydro one lineman, a golf pro and of course a school teacher (sounds like we should be singing a version of YMCA or something like that) As you can see from the pics there is a sweet moustache theme. During the weekend there is a fins and skins tournament. We try to catch 5 different species in the lake (walleye, lm bass, sm bass, pike, and crappie). We have 2 teams of 4. You get 1 point per species and a bonus point for each species if it is the biggest. My team managed to catch all 5 species and at the same time managed to catch the largest of each species as well. We therefore scored 10 points. The other team manged only 4 species and none were bigger than ours so they only scored 4 points so that means we had a 6 stroke lead going into the golf. Now on to the golf. We play a shamble and score 2 of the best 4 per hole. Once the 18 holes are finished we add up the team scores. When all was said and done, we lost the golf by 7 strokes and therefore lost the competition by 1 Point! Great weekend and fishing was good. I forgot to sleep and am still recovering. We even managed to go on our midnight cruise without jumping the boat. I caught lmb, smb, rock bass, brown bullhead, walleye, crappie, pumpkinseed, pike, perch and a big sucker (5.6 pounds) Leaving my house with some sweet cookie dusters on our lips Early evening smallie Night cruise without any drama Little snot rocket My buddy's LMB note deerfly biting his head. haha Big sucker that dropped a huge deuce on my boat. Tiny pumpkinseed. Caught loads. I don't really mind catching them. They fight hard for little fish and really pretty. Hungry friend with pike Another friend with a nice little LMB Nice little pike Group shot of some bad staches Nice nightitme smallie Frog caught during golf Some nice golf swag Nice Little LMB Bullhead lol Nice evening walleye My buddy trying to make a 4" rockbass look bigger Nice crappie
  11. Wow! I am glad I didn't post the pic of the other hold I had it in. Got to keep it PG on the forum.
  12. Oh by the way, it was a boys' weekend with a dirty moustache theme. Thought I would pay tribute to the Hulkster. LOL
  13. I was out fishing for crappie when I hooked into this brute. I don't know much about these but I know it is a sucker and I have to assume it is a white sucker. It put up a real strong fight. At first I thought it was a carp but when i brought it in I realized it was not. Anyway, I measured it and it was 23" long and it weighed 5.64 pounds. The current record for white sucker is 5.39 pounds. That is totally irrelevant because a) I didn't kill it so it was not weighed on an official scale and I don't really care to be an owner of a sucker record. lol. On a side note the fish crapped all over my newly made bow deck that I had not covered yet. It was almost the size of a goose crap. I had to clean it up with a rag and iIpuked in my mouth a little bit. Maybe you guys can correct me if I am wrong but I think it is a white sucker. I can tell you one thing, they are stonger fighters than I thought they were. length feces on deck weight
  14. Fred's sport shop/ideal suply in that one shot look messed up. 93 coming into midland was a mess as shown in the pics. That roofing business beside sergent cemen still has its roof in tact for the most part. Testiment to their roofs I guess.
  15. Where abouts on Georgian bay were you heading?
  16. Well, I teach high school up in those parts and was given a phone call this morning from the principal telling me our school was closed as there is no power and hasn't been any since the tornado went through. Day off for me. Glad to hear that so far there have been no fatalities.
  17. Very cool vid. I do the same with my Vex. Always fun.
  18. Hey Gman, Your rig is sweet! Were you driving southbound on the 400 today (sunday) at around 4 o'clock? I saw a boat that looked very similar to yours.
  19. Not nice at all. I taught the younger guy who died.
  20. strikezone slammers. Followed by gulp leeches then gulp minnows
  21. Great report. Your camera takes awesome pics (makes your fish look big, lol jk). Love your new boat as well.
  22. i cast with 3 above and pitch with 2 above
  23. Hey didn't you just sell a coule of ugly stik combos?????
  24. I don't like the action at all. I don't like that wet noodle sans backbone feel to my rods. I guess it is a better alternative to the ugly stik but I absolutely loathe ugly stiks. that is just my opinion though.
  25. Most cars in Europe are diesel and this includes Hondas as well. Even the civics are diesel, lots of torque and insane fuel economy. I was in England this Christmas and I rented an audi a4 station wagon. It had a 2.o tdi with an 8 speed auto tranny (yep you read that right 8 speed). I was travellin at 120 kph and rpm was about 1950. Not bad for a 4 cylinder!
