  1. Well there you go...... upper strut bearing on the drivers side. Had the wife turn the wheel while I looked and you can see it jerk around. Do they replace these in pairs (is the passenger side ready to go as well)? Much thanks, Burt
  2. Thanks so much for all of the responses! This gives me some idea of what it could be so I don't look like a moron when the shop takes a look and comments. Yes it is definately a popping noise and not a consistent click. And it does feel like you overcome some kind or resistance and then it "pops". Thanks guys! Burt
  3. I've got to put my $0.02 in here as well I suppose.... For you that think they live a very simple life with no electricity, treat the environment with respect, etc... , it doesn't always work that way. They are allowed to use electricity as long as they are not plugged into the "grid". They use massive diesel generators to power their industrial businesses (powder coaters, fencing manufacturers, metal finishers, etc. etc.). This mode of electrical generation is MUCH more environmentally harmful than hooking up to the grid. One even wanted to dump his waste cleaner solutions into his 180,000 litre manure pit and spread it on his fields. When I explained that this was illegal, and that after he spread that on his fields and his family ate the vegetables and cattle that grazed there, that they would be ingesting the pollutants as well, he thought I was nuts. After sending him written notification strongly suggesting he not do it, he said he would not. Don't know where that cleaner went though...... So there are the bad seeds in their community just like in ours, bad stuff does happen... Burt
  4. I have a question for the mechanics (professional or home)..... - '98 Pontiac Transport - popping sound coming from front end when steering at low speeds (backing up or parking lot speeds) - can feel it in the steering wheel - does not exhibit this when at speeds above say 25km/h - drives straight as an arrow on the highway - had tie rod ends done a couple of years ago - just under 200,000 Km Can anyone suggest what might cause this before I bring it in to get serviced? Thanks, Burt

  6. I will check these out and forward them to the women for their approval Private or provincial, as long as its a family place, I'll check it out. Thanks, Burt
  7. Looking for a park to camp at in the Kawartha area, or somewhere a similar distance from Hamilton. We have camped in a park on Lower Buckhorn but the women don't like it because the beach sucked (all rock and zebra mussels). Prerequisites are: - sand beach - able to park a pop-up camper, as well as tents - three sites together (three families going) - decent (clean) shower facilities - laundry facilities would be a bonus If anyone has any recommendations I would love to hear them. Thanks, Burt
  8. Thats what I was thinking as well..... grayling is on my "want to catch list" for sure! Burt
  9. Lets call them "natrualized" then....
  10. Brian, you have a PM....
  11. Superior Metal Finishing in London does spoons and plugs for Linquist Brothers (Canadian Wiggler and Cisco spoons). They are one of my customers, I can check out how much it would cost to get them done. Burt
  12. Jim, you rock Burt
  13. Nothing, just fire it up and let her run on high for about 15 min (until it doesn't smell) to burn off any oil residue from manufacturing. SS grids are care free for the most part. Burt
  14. I don't know if you have picked up your new grill yet but in case you haven't..... I picked up a Broil King Signet 90 (http://www.barbecuesgalore.ca/cooking.bpsx?CookingID=6) up at Rona (Waterdown location) as a "manager's special" for $400! This is a wicked deal for this grill. Burt
  15. I just barfed in my mouth a bit.....
  16. Cool, I will have to check out the local HD in person, I was checking the websites for one and came up empty. Thanks for the info! Burt
  17. Sounds like a great night! Make sure you blur out the backgrounds next time though ............ Burt
  18. Looking for a picnic table kit, like a box of 2X4 already cut with instructions to build a picnic table. I have searched Home Depot, Rona, Canadian Tire, and have come up empty. Not looking for plans to build one, if its not already cut, its going to be crooked lol... Burt
  19. He means the dam.... I have caught nice browns at the dam, largest of approx. 22", just before the season closes in Sept.... Burt
  20. Nope, thats 16 Mile..... thats a small pier, now that its been in the paper, add another 20 guys to it lol.... Burt
  21. Don't know if you have seen this site: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/, lots of good info there.... Most of the big advertised foods are total junk (star ratings from the link above): Science Diet (1 star), Eukanuba (1 star), Iams (1 star), Pedigree (1 star), etc.... I did a lot of research on what to feed my boxer and ones that I have used include Canidae (5 star), Wellness (5 star), and Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul (4 star). I have been feeding Kirkland Chicken and Rice, or Lamb and Rice for a couple years now and am really happy with the balance of the ingredient list and cost point. It is rated a 3 star food. It is produced by Diamond Pet foods (http://www.diamondpet.com/), the same manufacturer of Chicken Soup. The ingredients are very similar to Chicken Soup as well, but it is a lot cheaper. The price has gone up drastically in the last couple months, it used to be around $23 for a 40lb bag, but it is still a great deal. Burt
  22. Yeah, where did you hear that one???????
  23. Some research on grill makers, where they are made (assembled - who knows where the components come from): Broil King - Canada Broil Mate (made by Broil King) - Canada Sterling (made by Broil King) - Canada Fiesta - China Blue Ember (made by Fiesta) - China DCS (bought by Ficsher-Paytel) - China Charbroil - China Charmglo - China Thermos - China Coleman - China Centro - China Napoleon (depending on model) - Canada or China (WolfSteel Guangzhou) Vermont Castings - 2007 and older Canada, 2008+ China Ducane (bought by Weber) - China Weber Spirit - China Weber (others) - USA Brander - China Viking - Greenwood, MS, USA Crown Verity - Brantford, Ontario If you find any other info add to the list. Everyone should at least try to purchase NA!!! Burt
  24. This is not necessarily true. Some hybrids are able to reproduce. For example closely related cichlids (same family) can be spawned to produce fertile young. IE: convict cichlid X sajica cichlid produce fertile young which can reproduce with themselves or with others in the same family. An example of sport fish hybrids that are viable are splake. The splake backcross is the result of an F1 splake male being crossed with a female lake trout (75% lake trout and 25% brook trout). Burt
