Lindros was a baboon. Skated with his head down all the time. Easy target. As for Orr, he didnt need anyone to protect him, but had guys like Cashman,Riely.. His knees took a beat,n from years of slide puck blocks. The shin pads back then are nothing like today. Even with that said, I have yet to see a D man do a proper slide puck stop since Orr. Get that puck in the area between the knee cap and shin, and thats some pain. Had a few of them in my playing days. Orr was IMO, the best ever, rushing Dman. It was a sad day when he went to Chicago. Oh the rival games of Boston and Philly.

I think I tried for bass 2-3 times this year. Word ya,ll.. I was more into targeting lakers. Looking for that Simcoe brute has become my mission. Simcoe smallies are a blast and fight like demons, but the sound of a reel screaming with a fish in the depths, I am all over that. As for pickeral. They are not searched for size or fight. They are searched for eats. I hear they are good eats. Me, they are lazy fish to search for. Have heard they were like catching perch this year on Erie. You can take that flasher and well,,,,,,,,,,,,, LOL Nothing like taking 20 minutes to set up, and catching fish the first few minutes. I think you know what I am talking about. No flasher required. LOL

I think being caught with that hit and the net stopping him from actually flowing away from the hit was a big part of it. That same hit into the board would of jarred his shoulder as well. I just like having tough guys on teams.

Thats the problem Yes, I am the old way just like many. You need a guy on the bench, so that the other team needs to think twice about cheap shooting.

When I seen him cringe after that, it brought back memories of my rotater cuff injury. That is not a fun injury. He is young and in much better shape, then I was in my 30,s when it happen to me, but still not a nice thing.

The bottom line with all this IMO, no matter your gear, fancy and all, big named, over priced, you are enjoying the sport of fishing and catching with what you own. Dont get caught up in the hype of fancy gear. I have low/mid level stuff I have been using for years. I catch. Bill, did you know my god father is a DeMarco ? Yet, I do not have one of his spools. LOL
