  1. Seems to be a really good gas war heating up north of Orillia, always seems to be cheaper here than anywhere else but these prices are nice to see! http://www.ontariogasprices.com/Ultramar_Gas_Stations/Cumberland_Beach/138488/index.aspx Rob C
  2. Nice fish there Emil, I was out today we got 5 lakers and 1 whitie. I love first ice, seems all the big ones come out to play. Rob C

    Oro Ice?

Well being from Oro I would say Terry is right. Sorry Brian the wick guy rules! I was down at the the 7th around 6pm and it is frozen, but looks like open water about 1/2 mile out for about 1/2 mile wide, it was getting dark so a little hard to see. I think it will freeze up again tonight as it is already -13c. I'll keep you guys up to date if anyone goes out. Rob C
  4. I was tinking the same thing Brian! Rob C
  5. I can't see these pics either, just a big empty space? Rob C
  6. I can't see the pictures rob C
  7. I am running windows 7 with google chrome and I can't see any pictures
  8. I just got this unit and it is super clear. Has 640 x 640 resolution on it. At 8x zoom I can see the on the fish! BTW, if you are going to buy a fishfinder, find the cheapest price, print it out and go to West Marine and they will price match. But the thing I like about West Marine, is they have the best warranty around. For roughly an extra $60, they will give you an extra 2 years on top of the manufactures warranty. If you have ANY troubles with the unit, you bring it in and they will give you a new right on the spot, no questions asked. If they don't carry that model they will give an equivalent or better. Even in the first year of the manufacturers warranty. Not trying to toot anyone's horn here, but their service is pretty good at West Marine in Barrie. Rob C
  9. I think that this is a good unit for the price point. You can use it for ice fishing and in the boat. Use your imagination when adapting it for ice fishing and you can do it on the cheap. Rob C
  10. "Get in my Belly" man that thing is huge! Rob C
  11. The high school I teach at just defeated the Don Bosco Eagles 28-14 to win the OFFSA Championships. These guys went undefeated this season and have worked really hard to get this far. Really proud of these guys, and proud to be a Huron teacher. Rob C
  12. Improperly seated bearing or bent shaft. Rob C
  13. If your going to go with the abec 7's, then I would order them and replace the bearings. If the wobble is still there then more than likely you have a bent shaft. If it is out .001" then the end of the shaft is out probably .003 to 004". These are CNC machined parts and are designed with tight tolerances, so any damage, no matter how small is going to affect how it functions. BTW if you are dealing with a $600 reel, $50 for return shipping is worth the cost. Most company's won't cover shipping on warranty returns. Rob C
  14. Just want to know if any of you guys have one and what you think of them. I like the .02 second relay time from fish to screen, that is really low lag time. Rob C
  15. Yup 2011 F150 FX4 with the ecoboost. Got it last summer, if ya'd stop by, ya woulda noticed Rob C
  16. When clam changed the way they mounted the seats(old ones went across the tub and the newer ones go half way and then rest the bar on the floor) that is when I thought those are going to be junk. Sure enough a buddy of mine bought one and the bar of the seat post in 2 weeks wore right through the sled from all of the bouncing around that the seat did. He is now looking for a new portable. Go with Frabil or Otter, both very good brands IMHO. Rob C
  17. You'll love the Ecoboost Lew. The HP that it throws out is amazing. Ya and get yourself the intercooler grill on the front. I picked one up for about $150 (all aluminium) and installed myself, took me a whole beer to do that job! Rob C
  18. I'm glad you did! A buddy of mine who is British as well, put Nair for women in his ears to get rid of ear hair, burnt his ears really bad and was the laughing stock at work! Just sent him the link, just to make sure it wasn't him! Rob C
  19. That is awesome, just running on that treadmill I would get lost! BTW that model was a steal! Rob C
  20. I have an 07 Altima, replaced the Tranny at 87k. I'm at 178k now and I am starting to hear the same whining noise as I did the last time. When it goes so will the car. I will never buy a cvt transmission again. I find the engine way to noisey and for the amount of time they have been in production, they should have these problems solved. $6k for a replacement on mine but it was covered under warranty until 200k. Stick shift will be the only way to go for me from now on. Rob C

    Tomiko Lake

Well I was doing my reno's for 2 weeks on and then take a break and then 3 weeks on. I was wondering who was shooting at my house! You need to stop by, haven't seen you in a while. Beer is always cold Pm randy he lives right there or TJ: Will do, and thanks for the tips on the chubs and twister tails Mike! Rob C
  22. Well I'm going there for the weekend to Okimot Lodge (Tomiko spelled backwards!). Really looking forward to this trip as I have been doing renos at the house and man I am getting tired of it! So this lake looks quite promising, and I am hoping for a nice fish fry. I was just wondering what colours, bait or lure types to try out up there. I would suspect the water temp should be good and cold by then and they would head to usual fall structure. If anyone has tips or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rob
  23. I've been following this thread since you first started it, and I must say, Jen is the most determined girl I have ever seen. She will survive this and you must be the proudest dad in the world right now Wayne. Keep fighting Jen and don't ever give up, our family's thoughts and prayers are with you. Rob c
