Here is a favorite of mine, a buddy of mine who is a chef gave me this one. He told me the trick is to make sure you use really cold water, the colder the better. It works great for fish, onion rings and mushroom caps. It gives you that real English bater consistency.' Nigel’s English Style Fish Batter Yield: Enough for 4lbs of fish In medium size bowl, mix the following ingredients: 1 cup of all purpose flour ½ tsp of salt 1 tbs of vinegar 2 tsp of baking powder Enough cold water to make the batter to a slurry consistency. Dip fish fillets into batter and lay flat into hot canola oil at a temperature of 350F Cook until golden crisp colour on both sides, remove and wrap in newspaper to give it the true English flavor! Enjoy!

I was in the 200 level as well, the one I wore a little beer, the other was more of a pushing and shoving match and then security jumped in. Yup definitely too much boozy going on. There was some very interesting people there, but I think for 55 thousand people, overall it was pretty well behaved, and we have a lot more patriotic people in this country than I thought we had. I have Pirelli's and they are noisy a hell. I just took off my snows and thought these tires are noisier than my snows. They came with the car when I bought them, but when I need new ones, I will definitely go with the Michelins. Rob C

Those parts look like that particular reel was a prototype and they mixed it in with regular production. For those that have worked in manufacturing and have seen them run prototype parts in a regular production line, know what I am talking about. One mix up by the operator and things happen. Those parts look like crap and Quantum should give you a new reel and your money back for all the aggravation you have put up with. Rob c

Went to the big sale and bought a bunch of stuff on sale,plus got double points tonight. I also got a free lure and a put my name in the draw that occurred every half hour. The girl told me that not many people had entered the draw and that if nobody claimed the prized that they would be drawing for the unclaimed prizes at 8:30. I thought, well I'm not hangin around until 8:30, but I will wait ten minutes for the first draw. Well 20 mins went by and I thought well time to go. So I stood in line to pay for my stuff and the girl walks up and grabs the P.A. phone right beside me and says congratulations to our first draw of the night winner, would Mr. R Chambers please come up and claim your prize. I leaned over and said "here I am" she just about jumped out of her boots! Scare the bejesus's out of her! So I ended up with a 25 dollar gift card and of course I didn't spend it, cause now I have a reason to go back there! Rob C

I have not seen any cars out off the north side of the lake with exception of some vehicles parking on the shore. South side of the lake might be more consistent than the north side. Rob C

Heading out off of Oro from the around the 7th. I have sleds so travelling is not a problem. I headed towards the 12th line to try it out there, but marked just the odd fish every hour. Rob C

Nice work Rick how many times did you have to move? , Today was more of a scouting day for me, I moved around plenty today (6 times to be exact)and could not find them. I am begging for some help!! I plan on taking my kids tomorrow and would like for them to get on some fish. Just a little general location to start would be a great help, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Rob C

Emil I would wait until next weekend for vehicles. Where the slush was last week the ice was still thinner than everywhere else. Now that the slush is gone, it should firm up evenly with the cold temps they are calling for this week. Rob C
