Check your voltage on your batteries. I just went through a pile of troubleshooting on mine and it was a 2 yr old battery that was shot. Put a new one in and away she went. Rob C

Have you tried resetting the relay at your battery or somewhere inline between the unit and batteries? Happened me and pushed the relay reset and back in bussiness! Rob C -

Por 15 works great but will fade if you don't use the uv protector over top. But that paint loves rust and will hold really well. Its not cheap though. Rob C

Yup if you have a Bedliner inside they have a groove in the side for a 2x8. I just cut one with an angle cut on both ends and just slid it in there and it allows you to put stuff there without it sliding to the front of the box. Gas cans groceries etc..

What I did was add chains behind the bracket and in front and crossed them and left enough slack so it could swing away. Works great and still provides t the safety if it breaks. Rob C

Hey Brian, Have you taken the chuck off and fastened the ext. directly? It has a lefthand threaded screw that will allow you to fasten directly to the drill. That way you can eliminate the round plate. Easy to remove the chuck. Rob C

Plan on a lengthy lead time to order one, mine has been on order with home depot for 2 months. Comes in on the 10th of January. The 7 Kw only carries a 2 year warranty but the 8 Kw has a 5 year. Rob C -

Well I was in twice to get minnows and he was out both times. I know things get busy and stuff, but if your out of minnows, maybe offer some free worms to have your customer's coming back. Just sayin. Rob C

Charcoal in a 10# bag open it up and leave it in the boat. They don't like the smell of fire i guess. Rob C -
Yup go the lobsters right at the wharf, took the kids down with me and the guys were great, let them go on the boat and check things out and the price was good too $4 per lobster for the seconds (they called it something different but meant the same as seconds might be missing a leg or small claw). Where are you going in PEI, we were in the Arcadian side of the Island at Cape Egmont. Bring a small spade shovel with you and when the tide goes out, start diggin for them clams be careful of the razorclams they are sharp as hell, slice my finger open on one of them. Put the live bar clam on a table and spread some salt on the table and watch them little buggers stick there tongue out to lick up the salt, pretty cool for the kids to watch. Have fun out there and if your driving, go to Hopewell Rocks that is a neat place to see. Rob C

I was there 2 years ago, I bought a license there only to find out that a lot of the good rivers for trout were closed due to a huge die off from run off from the potato fields. They said the rivers would be closed indefinitely. I would do the charter route and also if you are going in the next couple of weeks, its lobster season so seafood will be the best way to go. All the muscles, clams and lobster is amazing there. Man makes me want to go back there right now. Make sure you do the New Glasgow supper when your there, AMAZING! Rob C

I bought a 2 x 6 x 16 foot composite decking board at Lowes, cut it in half and installed it when one of my bunks broke about a month ago. So far it works well, even in shallow water where i had to push the boat off, it just slid off quite easily. That stuff is not cheap, but cheaper than UHMW. Cost me under $50 for both bunks taxes in. Picked up one at West Marine for 329+tax which I thought was a great deal, I like that it has Navonics maps and down scan with the chartplotter, BUT you cannot manually change the sensitivity or change the ping speed so it is not the unit for Simcoe as far as I am concerned. You could use it for chartplotting but I got it for mostly using it for fishfinding. I looked at the Elite 5 with regular 83/200 transducer and it does everything I want it to do. I usually research this stuff well before purchasing but it was a one day sale so I had to move quick. Oh well she is going back and probably get the elite 5x. Rob C

NF Canada's wonderland cheap tickets help please
Rob replied to Handlebarz's topic in General Discussion
Try the Novotel, it's new and right around the corner. If you go online it will be cheaper than trying to phone and book. Nice place and close to wonderland, Bass Pro and Sail! Rob C -
You should try black flies Brian, they're in season! Nice Fish BTW. RobC

I think you are under powering the boat with that size engine. Look at the boat's HP rating and go with that if you can. I am assuming you are going with a tiller motor?I would always try to max out the motor size on the boat, but that's just me. Rob C

NAW I have some valve springs you can have. I have made one for my portable, I made mine without the crossing of tubes which you really don't need because the mounting point acts as a brace. I put a crossmember where the tubing bends at the bottom. I used the valve springs as a shock absorber and threaded the shaft so I could fine tune the tension. Works really well and is very strong. Let me know if you need any help with the parts. Rob C
