Great post , nothing better than time with your kids ! Mine are gettin old ( teenagers) but they are still great to be with ( Honest!) We will have a whole gang of little people at Tylers event , a buddy and his two little girls and 3 of my nieces kids ( we are babysittin for the weekend) can"t wait and hope to get them all catchin some fish ! I'll be interested in the responses. we have a similar issue but no damage to interior yet . I did manage a temp repair last fall to resolve till we can afford the new roof ( this spring) In december with the high winds we lost a 3'x3' section of shingles ( temp repaired again) and a section of fascia . Never though of looking at insurance , however due to age and codnition of roof not much point. I'll PM you by weeks end with Tyler prize updates . TB

2006 Honda Odysee , tows our 1775 Lund Classic with no problem That include 5 people and gear . Have travelled as far as Dryden and almost everyweek end somehwere .My biggest concern was handleing launchs but have yet to have an issue from Pier 69 Marina( Steepest ramp in Ontario!) on GBay to to back road 'access points' to the Ottawa valley Have over 130,00 km on it. Decent mileage , lots of room for stuff and makes a decent camper with the hideaway seats ! May move to a 4x4 once the kiddies are all grown. TB

theres a couple of hotelS on Memorial drive and hwy 12 ( Comfort inn and ??) not sure of teh quality of them . swiss chalet , east side mario and Tims all right there. Not sure were progress dr is though . TB

Had very same situation about 6 months ago . A direct report ( I inherited) very skilled , lacked ( zero) team skills and even less personality at times ,we kept a good written record as well as notes from any verbal discussions .She saw what was coming and quit as she had another job lined up .That one lasted 6 months . ( spouse of a coworker worked for the same company) Shortly there after I got a VM from a search firm I have worked with before checking her references. I spoke with our HR member who suggested a view phrases , ( she had worked with us when this employee was still employed) and what NOT to say . My impression was stick to facts (challenged in a team environment , uncomfortable with change) , make sure you have documents to back it up. Gotta think she hadn't listed me as a reference ! One obvious tip , if you have submitted refernces to a potential employer , let your refernce know so they can be prepared! TB

took me most of this year to get my first Muskie , as far as pike they seem to be hard not to catch at times. Try the water around Ontario place this spring ,see multiple posts each year of Pike caugt from shore . Pike fishing can certainly be a blast , we have a certain shallow bay we hit each spring , nothin better than a 30" plus fish in 12" water Now you got me thinking bout spring TB
