  5. I too am new to a baitcaster (well I got one last year and didn't use it a whole lot) and all I can say is "MONO" while you learn how to use it.
  6. like another person said, buy one tub and toss the ones from the bags in the tub. I have a tub of 3" leeches and added 3" and 4" minnows to it no problem. No colour change to the bait or anything. buy a leakproof tub of some kind and just keep on dumping your biat and "juice" in to it...
  7. sinker, after looking at the MNR site and pic 1 it looks like a Brown mainly because of the tail shape, flat. not a >
  8. it shouldn't be a problem at all. after all when you are out ice fishing for a day and the catch has been on the ice out of the hut all day some times they freeze...
  9. I have my dad's "billy club" from the 70's and man it's the BEST fish bonker ever. If I could get my hands on a few more of these I would in a second. 1 bonk is all you need with this thing...
  10. nice fish and good job on the upgrade for the team!
  11. thanks folks!
  12. Well, I just went through 8 pages looking for an old post and didn't find what I was looking for. So, what is the best way you can talk someone to ask about fishing on private propery? I ask as there is a river close to me that I see guys fishing when the opener hits but it is fenced off with signs up. I want to try and contact the land owner so I can fish there too, and clean up as I leave (the others have left a mess in the past). So what is the best way to find out who the land owner is and ask them? Thanks in advance. Geoff
  13. Thank you ALL for the replies! now all I have to do is get power to the boathouse so I can run another fish tank there too! WOOHOO!!!!!!
  14. So my daughter asked me this evening if we can keep any of the minnows we catch at the cottage in her fish tank. So can we? Even if we buy minnows can we keep them in her fish tank after our day on the water? I've never thought of this until now but she's got me wondering...
