  1. good point! Some person could be in the river looking for a steelhead or 2 and the change over to trying to catch suckers for pike/musky fishing but be seen by a CO with another steelhead on the line (that does get put back right away) and cause problems...
  2. *phew* here I was thinking maybe I was high from vapors maybe getting in to my car with all the driving I just did, glad it's not just me BTW, nice fish!

Hey all. I have some time today to myself to get some fishing in between my errands and with my travels I'll be passing Musselman Lake, Island Lake and be close to Lake Wilcox. Does anyone know if the ice is out there yet? Also, what one is best to fish from shore of course. And lastly do these lakes all have perch? Thanks! Geoff
  6. welcome to the board Chris. Have you checked the OFC classified section for some new (or new to you) gear? There are some great deals and great people here so have a look there too. I live in the East end so I can't help you with stores out your way but I'm sure others can help you find the baitcaster you want, cheers.
  7. Wow, C & C you 2 are rocking the rivers! good on ya!
  8. Rob if you are out this way tomorrow let me know

    ARRGGHH!!!!

thank you both. I don't think with what looked to be a baitcaster set up he was carp/sucker or perch/crappie/sunfish fishing BUT I could be wrong if if that's the case I would be the first one to say sorry.
  10. wow, i have only gone through the 1st page so far; yet I feel the need to say thank you to all that have posted! I hope this thread get's pinned for all to read and add to...
  11. all nice fish for sure, were the pads under the jacket or did you take them off for the pic's?
  12. So today I was on my way to an interview and was taking HWY 7 (as I was real early) and to save some 407 charges when I pass by the pond that connects to the river to see someone fishing OOS. This is between McCowan and Kenedy on 7 by the big mall, behind the condo's. I'm livid at this and going to call the 800 tips line yet a blackberry (well my curve) doesn't have the letters on the number to dial that call. So I think to my self someone will bust him... Needless to say 2.5 hours later on my way back he is still there fishing! I was ready to call 911 but I know I would have gotten an earfull and more if I called them. Does anyone have a local CO's cell mumber they can PM me for times like this? It urks me as I could break the rules and bring homa a limit every chance I can fish if I wanted to (BUT NEVER WOULD) so people like this need to learn there are rules and they are there for a reason. This is not a thread to bash someone, bring any speculation into the person's info or anything like that so please do not turn it in to that. All I'm asking for is the local GTA East CO's name and number. Thanks.
  13. hence my reply about line twist.
  14. I love the Bill Dance bloopers!
  15. now that I have zoomed in to 400% there could be another person sitting in front of the person standing. Even if there is 2 people in the boat they should only have 4 rods/lines in the water.
  16. zoom in more, it looks like he's got a dog with him by the front seat Yes, 2 rods only per person in Lake O in our side. Maybe he's working on getting line twist out?
  17. the best post in the whole thread! LOL!
  18. might want to check with the folks at Tromblys if you don't find another place.
  19. but just look at AILE GOBY as he has been lit on fire!
  20. I heard about 5 months ago that the CTC stores would be offering EVERYTHING just like a Walmant. I have noticed that the Whitby North store has gotten better with the fishing items they sell yet they do not have stock when the flyer comes out (just like every other store)... I know from talking to 2 owners that the fishing department stock/selection is decided on by the owner and managers and how close they are to a "hot zone" for fishing. Look at the one in North Barrie, way more items then the one in Markham but that is all in relation to areas to fish and the amount of anglers in the door. CTC is going through a big change and it will get better (I hope) to lower the cost for the "good stuff" for use poor folk. For those that do not know, I do not work for CTC in any way (but looking for a job!)
  21. same here, you could see everything in the water today where I was and was sent packing with not even a hit to show for it... Nice fish BTW!
  22. Queens York Rangers
  23. I am no expert BUT the angler did say that all the fish went back so why let this go on? I swear it could have been a ____ but wasn't sure so I didn't post. It's ok, let it go the fish went on to fight another day...
  24. nice fish
  25. again, the reason I think this should be shut down. The pissing contest can go on and on and on so what's the piont when the poster stated that all the fish were let go to swim another day?
