  1. I have the same problem every time we put the last section of dock in the lake. this little 1lb'er kept going after me all the time last year.
  2. you would think that you can take any old big body grub bait and jig head and make it yourself. To me, I would pop a hole or two or even three through the sides of a grub and feed some rubber strands through and it could work the same... might have to give it a try this weekend with some grass trimmer line or something a bit softer to test it out.
  3. I have had 3 now and for the ease of use my gas one is best. I get my food done right, in a decent time and I keep the heat just how I want it. I got mine at BPS for less than $200 on sale. I cannot take the propane that some claim comes off on the meat. I do fish in it all the time (BigCliff and Young_one can attest to the quality of the end results) and I do poke and beef too. It's a great unit to learn how to smoke food or just to have when you have a craving too make a dish.
  4. very cool! too bad I passed up on the opener today for the Brooklin fair with the Mrs and kids... so does that count as she's got a mean bite?
  5. good times guys! tks for the report
  6. At least one looked at the camera...
  7. If it was me Nick; I would go with the Mitchell Garcia 300. You can get any needed parts for it I bet way eaiser than the CTC one...
  8. nice ride for sure
  9. I'm sooo mad I missed this one cause for a few reasons. It was my chance to see HH again (it's been a bit now), it was so close to home too. My wife failed to tell me we had plans with old friends till I answered the door...
  10. same here, with luck this Sat. over some Road Gravy...
  11. I looks so good Cliff; I guess I can let you tie it up on the dock at the lake any time I'm there...

  14. good on ya Cliff for calling it in and even better that the CO did show up! Chris is a local (out of Minden) CO who's number I have on speed dial too and young_one and I ran into him last year. Another very nice person to deal with too.
  15. BAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA good one... Congrats Ben. I read that issue this morning too, odd but true...
  16. A glove does two things Paul, adds grip for you and less handeling of the fish (incase it was to slip for your grip) and because of that you will do less damage to the fish. you leave a few finger print marks rather then a few palm and finger marks and rub the slime off. don't worry and keep wearing them, just look at Simon's pink ones he wears from time to time...
  17. no worries man, I'm in NO rush. Have a good trip and let's see what we can cath when you get back
  18. Good too see you getting out and catching some! But with this as the title I thought I had passed on and gone on to the 'firey' place and was still able to get on the internet...
