  2. I am looking to fish some rivers for pike this weekend come hell or highwater. Any suggestions as to direction from London ON ? I am gonna "campout" in my van and try to fish my brains out along the back roads away from as many people as possible. I usually fish the Lake Huron rivers and tribs and kind of know my way around those parts over as far as Hanover, but I am willing to take an adventure ride this weekend along the Lake Erie region as well. Any suggestions? PM me if you prefer. Thanks Splashhopper
  3. What size of hook for those and do the sardines fall apart when they go in the water?
  4. Why so heavy test? Is it to save the tackle I have been losing the past week ? Snag city ! Or, is it because of teeth on the fish ? Thanks.
  5. what pound test of line should I use?
  6. I really liked the fish that was "thaaaat big" in the last pic. lol

  12. Hey Skeeter.. i am not a member on that other board and would be VERY interested in knowing the water rules and or etiquette on this subject please.
  13. Hey Fudd: Any suggestions on getting the hardware down to the bottom of the river when the water is running fast? I am tempted to put some lead on the line, but think it will mess with the action of the spoons/ spinners . Thanks for any input you may have.
  14. What a neat journey you took me on there brother. I would love to be able to go fishing in places isolated like that. But alas, I moved to Ontario From Moosomin Sask, when I was a baby.
  15. You "think" ? Come on.... a break like that ? And you "think" you stepped on it. Suck it up buttercup and don;t be taking advantage of warranties that if it doesn't cover abuse.
  16. Holy crap ! nice fish
  17. I have tried the ear plugs too.. never get anything on them... must be the old ear wax turning em off As for the marshmellows... when i have tried them, they seem to melt after a drift or two ?
  18. hmmm... interesting pic of the sponge.. I specialize in Epoxy grouting and have been looking at those orange sponges and thinking all along they might work for trout too. bad news for me... now i am gonna be dreaming about fishing while I am grouting ! Where would I buy that Anise oil ? thanks Splashhopper
  19. I am glad Mike is around too. AS a grout repair specialist, I am called in to "fix" shoddy workmanship ALL DAY, EVERYDAY. I have walked into homes less than a year old with floor tiles cracking and popping everywhere.. No builder in site either! Showers that are molding up in less than a year. Tubs with atrocious caulking jobs. Grout falling out of backsplashes. Light coloured grout( the current fashion) being installed in high traffic areas that is filthy within months. Clients not being told of upgrades available to prevent mold and stains. Lifetime warranties not being offered, with a slight upgrade, to homeowners. You name it,, I have seen it. Keep up the good work Holmes.. The Grout Doctor www.TheGroutDoctor.ca
  20. nice fish. I fish the Maitland alot and can identify with the size of the Saugeen vs the little toilet trinkles from Eastern Lake Ontario ! lol
  21. NOPE ! i DO NOT eat stuff with an infection that looks like that nor "sounds" like that name.. AAAACKKKKK...
  22. foot warmers duct taped to the bottom of the INNER sock only, and then a pair of wool socks. I will spend the $1.50 everytime for 6/7 hours of PRIME fishing. Think about it.... $0.20/ hr ! How much does your coffee cost and then you piss it out AFTER you are all bundled up!
  23. Hi there: I am a former hair salon owner and used to work in the beauty industry for many years. This meant i was surrounded by alternate lifestyles on a daily basis. I too had a challenge around "open" gay lifestyles for a while. I lost a close friend 4 weeks ago due to him NOT being able to "come out" at age 61! go figure. I am also a 17 years member of a 12 step fellowship where I sponsor two gay men. One of them helps many men and their families in their journeys when a member comes out. He gave me this site to forward to anyone that I encounter that may need some additional resources. http://www.pflagcanada.ca/en/index-e.asp Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance to you and your family. Sincerely, Splashhopper
