One week today (real fishing season begins) !!
Moosebunk replied to mistyriver1's topic in General Discussion
Great pics guys. Would gladly take any one of those fish. Although not so excited about opener, I'm looking forward to more muskie fishing later this year. Picked up a few new lures to try out and want to work on fishing some new areas. -
Hey doods! Any ify weather day you can catch what was intended and make a good time of things, well it's a bonus. Good shooting Cliff and Will.

Poor guy. Six plus specks and some steel. That does make a cool pic Dan. Too bad it didn't go quite as planned but I bet you enjoyed the w/e nonetheless.

Sadly I was primed to head north for pike this month but had to bow out when the weeks kept getting pushed back due to "ice" still on the lakes up north and the work schedule built up. But this little diddy gets me primed for a couple other pike tours ahead. Good fishing Steve. Some beat up spawned out chunkers and some clean mean machines too. Love the pikes.

Maybe a different Walleye / Pickerel technique to try.
Moosebunk replied to Harrison's topic in General Discussion
You should report more often. I know this post is a million years old, but it's good stuff. Cool info Harrison. Best inland walleye in these parts for me since moving back home here 4 years ago, 6.2 lbs out of a small lake. Caught on a bass jig... a Coffee Tube. Bass "stuff" certainly does work. And the funny thing about the smallies on that lake, they love the walleye grubs but you'll never get an eye bite those. lol. -
How much fun can YOU have with an 88c can of corn?
Moosebunk replied to Fisherpete's topic in General Discussion
Pete... I'm going to suggest you try an 88 cent can of corn for your muskie fishing, because with luck and numbers like that, surely to God it'll work out for ya. Awesome dood! The best carp numbers with goodies report I've read in some time. -
Took awhile to catch this one. She broke a rod one time then stole another one down a hole. Finally, one autumn day in 2008 there she is in the shallows off the point entering the back bay. Cast out, big wake as she rushes the lure and BOOOOOM!!! She smokes it. Finally the Cheepas Monster is in the boat... well, almost in the boat. Big fish. Best to date. What a GATOR!

An Amazing New Float Reel Built By A Fellow OFC Member!

Blown away. Works of art really. Must be tough selling or giving away babies like those. If I guess their names do I get the first born? Going with... Razorback over Rumplestiltskin. Did I win??? lol. Nicely done... -
Hope it's like glass out there and when you look into that speckie aquarium you see everyone of them swim by the boat and smash your lure.

Few more solid ice pike. PikeSlayerinator2006. The Original. Worked awesome.

Quite an enjoyable morning read. Some solid laker fishing. Think that's the first time I've seen the Williams Trophy spoon in a report. Have one, will try it sometime. Thanks for the report.

Algonquin Brookies Off The Beaten Track
Moosebunk replied to solopaddler's topic in General Discussion
You got a drive in ya that never quits Mikey. Cool seeing Julian along with ya for an adventure too. Rest those achy muscles and bones... you're right back at it in T - minus... 5.... 4..... 3...... 2.....1....!!! -
Tough fishery but, wish I could fish it knowing what I know now about lakers. Best plan... the one you've got. Bruce is a great guy. Tamar a great place. And the fishing should be good to go come then. Most lakers and whiteys I've ever seen caught by one boat was at Tamar at ice out. Guy getting his limit daily using minnows 6 ft. under a bobber and just sitting off one point every morning. It was a serious lesson learned for me and all others fishing in our party.

Bacon in a pan! Except speckled goodness. Jacques... like the rig and like these reports. Makes me miss my late teens, early 20's when I'd visit Zec Dumoine once a summer for specks. Breakfast panfried speckles, eggs, toast, homefries, beans... -
Looks freakin' frigid Frodo! But ya done good on a variety of fishes. Thanks for posting!

Good fishin' Ron! Got that same jacket.
