  1. Like i said earlier, Congrats on good luck on the move bud. Ever since i left the DFO, I have not looked back. leaving that field was the best decision i ever mad in regards to employment, and i am sure you will feel the same. Although it was a fun job, i look at it as a great summer job and not one in which is condusive to family life or a real career. Lots of broken and miserable families in that area. Good luck...you will enjoy it.
  2. unless your a goalie...your treated like a mule...even if you break the records for wins in a season for your team, or if you are any d man getting paid over 3 million...
  3. that highways looks a lot like hwy 17 between SSM and Wawa every winter
  4. I went this morning on 8 inches and we got 10 specks...but thats up here
  5. Really...wow.... You are comparing Kessel to a rookie that hasnt even played 30 games yet, and gets maybe 10min/game and plays on some nights with Scott Thornton....Really? I garantee you, if Toronto had the second pick they would have picked Seguin...garanteed, if of course Edmonton didn't take him, and we all know they didn't. You have to give the rookies time to adjust, grow and mature, which is something that looks like Toronto will not be seeing for sometime know, because, like most pro teams they build through the draft...just like Detroit! Toronto is going to be euchered for some time,as they dont have the picks to build a team....muddler said it best! Oh...and its looking like we are getting a top 3 pick again if this keeps up...GO B's!
  6. i wont be doning the waders or vests, rather the snow suit and chuck spoons off shore into Lake Superior...like you said, the hits are vicious!
  7. even they have to win a few sometimes
  8. Awesome fish...you inspired me to do the same tonight after work, albeit not off a pier, but shore! Thanks!
  9. Versteeg also played on a cup winning team which was so good it made Nick Boynton look like a top 2 defenceman. Versteeg is a good player...NOT GREAT...and never will be...will he have a good career, sure, don't doubt that in the least. is he a first liner...No, is he a second liner...only if someone is hurt he is. Remember, other than fighters in the league, players are drafted because they are good or have some sort of talent and 90% of them have or had a excellent positioning. Versteeg is nothing special.
  10. first thought was porqupines as well...but definitly neat!
  11. :thumbsup_anim: Thats the Truth!
  12. can't go wrong with a malamute then Gus at 8 weeks Gus being Gus the temperment of these animals is incredable...absolute personalities.
  13. my dad had a pure breed husky when he was in his later thirties and he absolutly loved her...he got her when she was a pup and was able to train her amazing. Loyal, loved fishing and hunting, and was fantastic with kids. when i was 9 or so we got another pure breed siberian, however, she was a race dog and always wanted to run, we got her at around 9 months which made it difficult to train, but like others have said, this one was born to run, and needed to run everyday, but she was absolulty enjoyable. we never took her hunting but fishing, she loved! those dogs have made me loyal to that breed...with a little patients those are IMO the best dogs ever, which made me go to their bigger cousin the malamute 2 years ago. We got Gus when he was a 8 wks old and have trained him well...like huskies and malamutes they can be stubborn but they are extremely smart. Patience with any breed and you will have a fantastic friend!
  14. Just a question, if you cant afford the insurance on it or gas right now, why are you even considering purchasing the vechicle, regardless of the price? Personally, if i couldnt afford the insurance and gas I sure wouldnt to pay for the extras that will come along. I didnt purchase my first vehicle until i was 27 for those reasons. Just a thought. buy the way...i have the 2002 version..i love it, but get ready for "the incedentals"...they will show up!
  15. I agree with everything that buctail just said, except for the Hoyt the best part :wallbash: . everyone knows that PSE is the best..i shoot the PSe xforce and love it...I had it set up professionally for 70lbs and i am in love with it...however, shoot many different kinds if you can, you will only know whats best for you after you shoot them...there are lot to use, that being said my dad has a Mathews and loves it
  16. I believe when its swimming its illegal, bow or rifle. while its walking through the water feeding or whatever is legal
  17. the guide is from Wawa...really good guy...has already guided clients to 4 bulls this year...he knows what he is doing.
  18. i agree buddy...if you are looking for an upland game gun and a turkey gun...its a no brainer IMHO a 12 gauge all the way. You will buy the 20 gauge and shortly thereafter you will be purchasing the 12. Or you can just buy a .22 with a 10 shot clip for grouse and leave those poor turkeys alone
  19. Come up to the park this winter...we'll show you! And by we i mean bring up the doc and we can meet up for some solid action!
  20. I will be fishing for eyes with the 7mm for moose close by...it is hunting season ya know!
