  1. Hey, I think its a matter of preference in the end. I have always found that either will work, right from opening weekend to the end of summer. Ether being worms and leeches, because, well minnows always work, especially big ones in the fall. I think its the tail at the end of the lure you are using that attracks them, either worm or leech. We always go with both, and we love using jigs and leeches and spinner rigs with worms, both will equal success.
  2. Those are hilarious...i am putting one of those next Tuesday for sure! Thanks for the laught
  3. I SAY BLAST EM ALL We dont have many up here thank god, but all i have to do is drive 2 hours and then i start seeing enough of them. .22 shorts in the boat can rid a lot of them without making a lot of noise
  4. I agree completly. I dont think the problem was the coach...i think he was a good coach. THis is really JFJ's fault by creating a team of average players. Give Sundin some help other than Tucker and Antropov, and I cant believe im going to say this.....but they might have a good team. There cast was alright, just not enough help. And people i think have to lay off Raycroft a bit. His first year there be broke the record for wins in a season and the fans still wanted to lynch him!!! And for the record I am not a leafs fan, or habs , or sens! LOL
  5. Thanks For the most part thats the norm. The 20 inchers are i think a little larger than average. There are lots of nice speck lakes and rivers around here. Cheers
  6. Hey all Well since the ice just left all the lakes in the last week or so, we decided to go for some ice out lakers on Monday night and then for some Specks last night. We new we would catch some fish, but the size and the numbers we did not expect. We started monday night and after the first pass over a point, in 4 fow, we start. After a little tussel this 4 lber of so is boated, quick snap of the camera and back to swim. Shortly after, Jay get a tap and sets is hook into this solid fish. This one was caught trolling through a weed bed in 8 fow. We continued to troll up and down the shoreline and boated 3 more lakers, one of which was another laker about 8-9lbs, and these two scrappy lakers. All lakers went back to swim, as it was just fun to get out and catch them. We ended up going 5 for 7 that night. The next night we decided to go into a back lake for some specks. Thinking we might get the odd speck that would be 12-14 inches, we started to troll again. We started fishing at 6 and had the truck loaded by 830. We caught 10 specks all from 14-20 inches and kept 4 for a nice meal tongiht. The first of many A fine beauty My big one of the night Jays 1 of many Nice little female A fine meal indeed. Cheers, Anders

How come no talk of a rangers come back? lol.... I think the penguins have been fortunate to face mediocure (sp) goaltending so far these playoffs, and when they run into Philly, i think they are going to be a little surprised, and by the time they figure it out, they will be on the outside looking in. Like it was said before, you can get a lot of shots in a game but if they arent quality shots, the goalie is just going to get a lot more comfortable back there. when a goalie doesn't get tested as much he isnt as sharp. was it a good idea to start Halak...i think so, Price has only won 2 games since game 4 of the opening round.

I love it...payback for the bruins...I just hope they dont fight back like the bruins and Philly finishes em quick!
  11. Hi, I like using 8lb Berkley Sensation. I find it very strong yet, while still being very sensitive. With medium heavy rods for backbone, and medium action rods, we tackle many different types of cover while jigging and have no complaints.
  12. Hey, Where abouts are you located? On the north part of Lake Superior we are doing that right now wtih scucess, as the rivers are just starting to open up right now, and with the major snow we are getting right now it will be a few days still. But we are doing well off the beach and letting the spawn sit till the steel hit. We use 10'6 light action rods, with a large barrell sinker above a two way swivel. From the swivel there is the leader about 2 feet to a floating spawn bag. We have got them on many different sizes. the only key this fishing is patience, and a large thermos of coffee.
