  2. Another proper metric term not used here...like centilitre How is it you Americans know these funky metric words eh Got your signing pen ready yet? I was at PA yesterday and didn't know they had those bags there didn't see 'em. I did get what I was after though. I was suprised to find lower unit gear oil pumps for less than five bucks. Drove back here and regretted only buying one
  3. Chemong Upper Buckhorn Lower Buckhorn Pigeon Big Bald Little Bald Sturgeon Thanks to Big Cliff Rice Stoney Lovesick Fairy Clear Katchewanooka Trent River Wow after thinking this through I sure got around!
  4. Things you wished you had invented... Interesting product.
  5. As of last night Paudash was still almost wide open. Can't speak for the smaller lakes, but with the recent warmer weather I would bet it is in the same shape. Now if we get the low temps they are forecasting for tonight through tuesday it will help a lot. Stay safe.
  6. Tried the new "environmentally friendly" Capatain Fab this year...does not work as fast as the original Captain Fab but still got the boat clean. Heard people use toilet bowl cleaner...would not suggest that. There are other brands on the shelf at C-Tire that have the same stuff in it as the Fab.
  7. WOW thats some fish Congrats Maybe red is your new lucky colour? Bet you cant wait to do it again
  8. Adolphus reach but that is near Picton. The migration should be happening. I have been looking into a charter for walleye down that way for end of October. That seems to be the best time frame for the larger fish. I may be wrong but thats what I was told.
  9. I was fishing out on Buckhorn lake till 8pm tonight. Gloves, heavy jacket and a touque man! Fricken cold. Not much fun when driving fast Last two mornings it was 6c here. Last week there were two days in a row where it was 2c. I have had heat on in my truck every morning now for the last two weeks. Ya know the white stuffs coming just a matter of time. Oh yeah heres some excitement: I put the snowbrush back in the truck this am

  13. Another excuse to keep the boat at a marina Imagine coming home to see this:
  14. I agree 100% As long as the Government is getting the tax dollar we bend over and take it. As I burn a lot of fuel boat and business wise I am at the same station often which happens to be an Esso. The franchise owner there tells me that Esso controls the price through satellite. They have no idea when it changes its done all automatic. Its crap. We argue for fun. I said ok you paid x dollars a litre for 40 thousand litres today. Look at the profit when you boost the price tomorrow just because it happens to be thursday. No response. Wonder why. Here is another thing that gets me...why when we live in Ontario and our gas comes from Petrolia ON do we have to bend over when the rigs in the gulf of Mexico shut down for a wee storm. Rant over. Oh and I spent 153 dollars today filling the work truck. That should be good for two days.
  15. Couldn't agree more. Especially after the kick in the financial pants in the last couple days. Seems like every time you regain your losses your dealt another blow.
  16. Boy that is a big fish way to go! Beats being a net girl any day eh Man I would love to try something like that someday...an experience to remember for sure
  17. Happy Birthday Cliff!!! Have a good day!!!
  18. No this guy was a supply SGT that worked in E1 at CFB Petawawa. He was RCR. At that time I was attached to 1FSH.
  19. Corporal punishment was still going on when I joined mid eighties. Knew a Sarge that got busted at the gate leaving the base with stolen Iltis headlamps what the idea was. Two years less a day in Edmonton busted down to private. What an Ankle boots with no laces and those lovely green coveralls
  20. Thanks for the post! Excellent pics I would love to go up there some time. Trip of a lifetime you would never forget
  21. It is never a good idea to cheap out on snow tires. This is a good place to ask opinions and here is mine After spending some serious money on a new car and we lived up north with lots of distance highway winter driving a good set of snows made sense. Canadian Tire had a sale soon after on winter rims. This was the biggest nightmare ever and here is why: The rims were out of balance brand new out of the box. The wheel nuts failed to hold their torque. So after spending money mounting and balancing etc. I returned the rims for a full refund. Tire dealer was never able to get the tires to balance properly. After speaking with several people they shared the same experience with C-Tire rims. The winter tire we use is Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grip UG GW2. These are high performance winter tires designed for all conditions and are used on OPP Police vehicles and the military. Now we just swap rubber on the Aluminum rims fall and spring. Tire dealer told us we could get another set of OEM Aluminum rims for our car and have the winter tires mounted on them but I dont have $1500.00 to waste on that even from the wreckers. Choose wisely cheaper is not always better http://www.1010tires.com/tirereviews/Goody...re_reviews.html Seems our model has been replaced with a newer 3 series. http://www.goodyeartires.com/goodyeartires...=&sidewall= Also available in a run flat. How neat is that.
  22. Plan is to fish the next three days. Usually by lunch time each day the tri lakes are a write-off because of heavy boat traffic, sea-doos, wakeboarders and general bad boating behaviour. The water ends up having a chocolate milk consistency. So early am and late evening tends to be more sane. Not impressed, I didn't get around to filling the gas tank on the boat and now the price here is $1.30/Litre. Bend over Good luck everyone and stay safe out there!
  23. Excellent report! Great camera work...the underwater is a nice change Amazing all the different fungi eh with this wet summer; some amazing looking ones. One trip you will never forget; thanks for the report!
