  1. Congratulations Joey & Paul I don't think this a black or white/right or wrong issue without considering many other things. For me, mortgage insurance works at $17.43/month, I declined the disability portion. You have to consider what other coverage you have through your employer(s) or other lenders (credit cards/line of credit) and decide if you have enough insurance. Your choice then is mortgage insurance or a term policy. A term policy may not be such a bargain depending on age, smoking and current health issues. Mortgage insurance is cheap by comparison but as you mentioned, it never goes down. At the front end of you mortgage you might benefit from it and maybe drop it after a ten years. There comes a time when your mortgage insurance premium will buy you more in term coverage than the balance of your mortage. -Brian
  2. Duty is only applied to merchandise made outside of North America and some categories are exempt. I would expect this tent trailer to be North American made so duty would not be applied. I'm not sure about GST but probably have to pay. Trailer inspection/registration is probably the same as importing a boat with a trailer. -Brian
  3. 2-3mph depending on direction... seemed to me like a heavy downcurrent. No t-cline on the graph and I've read other reports stating temps were uniform top to bottom. No downspeed or temp unit on board. -Brian
  4. Yeah GCD, do you run the Sibiki's off the downrigger or dipsy?
  5. It's been a few years... ahem, 20 or so... I bought a good front end from T.O. Cycle. I don't know if they're still in business. -Brian
  6. This is your best post ever! Good to see you out fishing and hope you have better luck next time. -Brian
  7. Nice report! One of these years I have to get myself down there. -Brian
  8. No need to leave the GTA for great fishing. You'll come across some great reports from the islands and nearby if you do a little reading.
  9. That's about the same reaction I had when I saw the picture. Fortunately I had my Depends on. That reminds, I need to go change. Mike, the look on your face is priceless! Keep this link handy, you're having your best year yet! http://www.advancedtaxidermy.com/
  10. It's good to see the new boat has really paid off! -Brian
  11. Well done bud! -Brian
  12. I have never been so frustrated! I don't think I've lost so many fish... it seems everytime a fish hit I was busy tying sliders or setting up a flasher rig. We also had a few tangles over the course of the day. A comedy of errors but at least Emil got a couple. I sure would have liked to see what doubled over my rigger rod and broke off the 30lb PP. That was my favourite Lyman too! -Brian
  13. Nice fish. We packed it in around noon. We launched from Oakville too, did you launch around 5:30AM? -Brian
  14. If you see a blue Tahoe and a blue Starcraft following you, it may or may not be me! I gotta get me one of those pike lakes! Great report and a beauty entry! -Brian

    Danbo.

    I'm soooo confused!
  16. And I told your wife you wanted the aquarium for kittens. She'll never trust me again! -Brian
  17. I have been to Bass Pro Vaughn a number of times and am always underwhelmed. When I did the Michigan tackle shop tour I almost left Bass Pro Auburn Hills off the list. I'm glad I didn't. Out of the seven or so shops I visited in Michigan, it was the best in terms of service and a close second in pricing to Sportsman's Warehouse. Retail/Customer Service is taken very seriously in the United States and it seems to lose something coming across the border re: Bass Pro, Wal*Mart, Home Depot etc.
  18. Good job Emil, I told you we should have went there Saturday! How did the two anchors work for you? -Brian
  19. Canada Post money order or bank draft would be my choice. Paypal is an option but why give your money away in fees? -Brian
  20. It seems early but I have seen a couple promising reports from Bronte.
  21. I haven't fished with Norton or Whopper yet but Deg and I spent some time on the water. When he became restless I found it best to distract him with something slimey. I hope this is another "once in a lifetime" trip for you guys! -Brian
  22. Good idea... we don't want our members touching thier junk to the coils
  23. Try Steve (sosmerc) [email protected] He's from several other marine forums and always willing to help. He's just went out of town for a few days so you might not get an immediate response. -Brian
  24. Nice spread!! It''ll be nice being so much closer to work!
  25. Quite a premium for those 'glass St Croix rods but I'd love to have a couple in the boat. I got the fish in my avatar on a St Croix muskie casting rod but it is a little soft for trolling. I'm using Daiwa Heartland dipsy rods with Penn 209's for now and they work well. I don't know if there is much of a selection for a trolling-specific muskie rod but have fun looking! -Brian
