The only problem with buying a small chunk of land that has access to crown is that most crown land has pretty much been claimed by locals and hunting gangs as their own hunting grounds. I know anyone should have the rights to it but hunting gangs get pretty teritorial and it could cause huge problems.

Ive had the cams out for a couple of weeks now and ive got a neat buck hanging around. I call him crooked horn. These 2 seem to be hanging out together because ive got pics of the 2 of them on another cam a mile away from this location. I got rid of my compound bow this year and I have a crossbow coming in the mail. Has anyone else been gearing up for deer season? any trail cam pics ?

They were nailing people all over simcoe lastyear for party fishing. Some of the guys I know would have their limit but continue to fish and when they hooked one they would pass the line over to someone who needed a fish .. Seemed to keep the CO's happy. Lots of fish likely die from someone having their limit and releasing a dozen more while they are waiting for their fishing partner to catch their limit... If you and your partner are going to go home with you limit anyways would it be better for 4 fish to be caught or 20 ( 18 by one guy but 16 released) ?

Rory MacDonald looked very good for a young kid. I also liked Dunhams performance. I think Rothwell and Yvel should have only had to fight 1 round because there wasnt much goin on in the other 2.

I went to get a 6 pack of canadian cans yesterday and the lady at the till told me that the tall boys are cheaper for some reason. $12.83 or something for reg cans and $12 even for tall boys.

On the radio today they are saying 2 people were on an atv in that area today and had a bear charge at them but they managed to get away.

Oh come on guys Im sure Im not the only guy who's tackle boxes look like a bomb has went off inside. You know that commercial where the guy is like " hey I think ill try this" and pulls up a big mess of lures all tangled together .... thats like my couple of boxes. I have 40 some odd spinnerbaits all jammed in the top of one box with no dividers. Takes a few mins if I want one from the bottom of the cluster fudge! Nice tackle guys. Go get them clean scratch free lures beat up and dirty !

Thats alot of speed but also alod of draw weight. My brother just got a barnett wildcat. $340 shipped to his door with scope and arrows shooting at 320fps with 150lb pull. Its a nice small bow which makes it better for in ground blinds.

What is the price range on those bows ? are they around the same price as the excalibers?

Headed to the bush after work for a couple hours of hunting and found gold with 10 minutes till legal shooting hours was over. I was running and gunning through the property, walk 50 yards, call , listen and walk again. Nothin was goin on in the bush so I walked out to the field. When I got to the fields edge there was 3 hens standing about 20 yards out feeding in the grass ( with the wind i guess they couldnt hear me coming). They wandered out of the field so I took a couple steps out and noticed a ball of dust at the other end of the field. I walked up just inside the bush line to within 200 yards of the bird and set up and gave a couple calls. He walked right to me and I pulled the trigger at 30 yards. 19.4 pounds 8 1/2" beard and 1 1/8" spurs. I guess I will have lots of time to golf now.

Hey I havent been around much. Working and maple suryp was keeping me busy for a while. Do you have many birds down your way ? we are seeing more birds this year than lastyear BUT thats now. Hope they are still around in a couple weeks. Did you pattern your loads ? They are handloads arent they?

Thanks . They are Remington hevi shot 3 1/2" 1 3/4 oz #6. My gun is a stoeger p350 and choke is carlsons .650. My choke is too tight for most shells and it blows up the pattern but this one it seems to like. Remington discontinued their hevi shot shells so I got 3 boxes today. Which heavies are on sale at BPS? I tried the hevi-13 but they shot 8 inches low and 8 inches right for some reason.
