  1. That's tough. Deepest sympathies, I have 2 pups and they are like my kids. Hang in there.
  2. Nice! Can't wait until mid June when the ice is off Nipissing lol.
  3. Luremaking.com here as well. I've never had any problem with anything I've purchased there, and it's Canadian!
  4. That would be sweet. Can't believe I might actually catch a musky lol, after all these years! (I've only really fished for them a handful of times)
  5. I have 2 pups of my own, 6 year old Beagle/Collie and a 4 year old Cockapoo. They are a huge part of our family. Brings a tear to my eye just imagining what you are going through. Stay strong, deepest sympathies from my family to yours.
  6. Ya I'm right on the lake just past the turn for Glenrock, almost at the end of the road. It's actually not a musky, it's a big northern. I have yet to catch the elusive musky but I have boated many 48" plus northerns when I fished up in the NWT. If you could put me on a musky I would be in your debt.
  7. Hehe ok good, I was thinking it might have been in one of my drunken stoopers. You know, some of us are highly offensive, others smoke crack...
  8. My mother in-law bought a new Rogue about 8 months ago and she's not totally pleased with it. Lots of little things, averages 11L/100km fuel mileage. My sister just blew the engine in her 2013 Santa Fe that might have 20k on it. She is not happy! It's covered under warranty but she's not impressed. Dealership said it would be a month before she got her vehicle back. They gave her a loaner but things just arent the same as factory when they need to pull the engine in the newer cars. I forsee problems down the road with that car. You don't hear much bad about the Hondas or Toyotas and they run forever.
  9. Nice fish. I've only fished there once and got skunked, a buddy of mine fishes there quite often and has never been skunked, guess I should have gone with him.
  10. Yeah I have seen that there are a few members from up this way. I'll definitely PM you, I live just down from where your trailer is. ??? Must be someone else
  11. As some have said, it is the transition into a service centered economy. Those who serve will have mostly part time jobs making at or close to minimum wage and those who operate the service making significantly more. Eventually the middle class will shrink to the point of no return. The government isnt helping though, striking deals for free trade and reduced tarrifs on goods we import. The issue with this is that they are negotiating with countries that pay their workers fractions of what our minimum wage is. Just look at the Korea deal that just happened. Do you think Kia pays their workers $30/hr, I doubt it. And Chrysler has the Ontario government over their knee saying basically give us an exorbenent amount of money or we're moving to Mexico. The government has no choice because it's not only the Chrysler employees that will take a hit, it's all the suppliers and local economy as well. Soon the majority of manufacturing jobs will be eliminated in Canada. Next thing you know Canadian workers will be training their foreign replacements, wait a second...
  12. Had a leak in my basement 2 years ago. Was block wall and there was no signs of any cracks. Turns out, when the guy built the deck on the back of the house before selling it drilled his sono tubes right through the big O plugging them. I had to dig the entire length of my house 5 feet down, 4 feet out and 40 feet long. I resealed the concrete with Blueskin and ran 2 layers of big O. Worst part about it was that the basement was finished so I had to gut the basement and refinish it and insurance doesn't cover seepage.
  13. Well..... I joined this forum a while back then went on a little hiatus. I was in school and was busy doing everything but fishing. Got married, had a kid and my wifes job moved north. We moved to Sturgeon Falls in October and I am finally settled in. I am looking forward to getting back to fishing more than once a year and posting more frequently. Hope all is well. Brad
  14. Different tribe. These guys are by Fort Frances, not Rama.
  15. I use a 7-9 Shimano Clarus MH CSC-X79MH. They are around 100 bucks and it has served my well.
  16. I got both a curado and energy PT new last year. I must say, I used the PT more, just loved the feeling. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
  17. Don't forget the peperoni and Jalapano chips!!!!
  18. I haven't had any issues with the Stren as I have with spider wire. Fireline has treated me well also. Berkley Whiplash was made for only a short period of time but it was amazing. One of my main reels is spooled with it going on 6 years and it looks like new. I just bought some of the P-Line braid last week and so far it looks pretty good, I haven't got to use it yet but feels nice and limp, comparable to power pro so we will see how it fishes.
  19. Awesome, you'll love him. I thought a Puggle was Beagle x Pug, no? According to Puggle.org it is anyway. Don't worry though, Beagles are awesome regardless of what people say. Enjoy the new pup, I had one this time last year!
  20. St Louis vs. Boston final with Boston taking it in 6.
  21. yup, that's how i usually do it
  22. I have a Beagle/Colie, his mom was a beagle and his dad was a rough colie. He is an amazing dog. I live on a busy street corner with no real defined fence but he stays in the yard and I NEVER tie him. He listens 98% of the time and is one of the smarter dogs that I have met. He does love to run so I take him to the dog park or the beach or ball park and let him run. He is eager to please and I couldn't ask for a better dog.
  23. I'll second the 16' Grumman. I have one of these and it's awesome. I have seen some on kijiji so keep your eyes open.
